You’ve got all of that and then some with this talented group in this year’s Fab 50 selections. Three of the four receivers selected are seniors who will play college football at the Power Five level in the ACC and Big 12.
Tyler Brown Tyler Brown 6'0" | 160 lbs | WR Greenville | 2023 State SC , Greenville
What is impressive about watching Brown on film is the variety of routes he can run and then make people miss in space after he catches it. Whether it’s a middle screen, slant, underneath shallow, he knows what to do with the ball in his hands. You’ll see him lined up in the slot or on the outside with good size for the position. Brown committed to Clemson on Thanksgiving Day.
Elijah Caldwell Elijah Caldwell 6'1" | 190 lbs | WR Northwestern | 2023 State SC , Northwestern
If you need a deep vertical threat who can go up and make the contested catches, Caldwell is your guy. He is a smooth route runner who catches the ball at its highest point and turn a five to 10-yard middle screen into a huge gain, a bread and butter play of the Air Raid offense, a version of the spread which features four to five wide receivers on the field often. The West Virginia commit finished his senior season with 77 catches for 1365 yards and 19 touchdowns.
Apollos Cook Apollos Cook 6'2" | 205 lbs | WR Aiport | 2023 State SC , Airport
Cook is a big body receiver and a threat to score every time he catches the ball. There aren’t many defensive backs who can hang with him in coverage as he’ll just burn you with his impressive speed. He’s another receiver who can take a bubble screen and take it for 10-15 yards or a deep vertical route for a long touchdown. He will play college football in the ACC at Duke University in 2023. He finished his season with 40 catches, 785 yards and 7 touchdowns.
Wushi Ravenel Wushi Ravenel 6'0" | 170 lbs | WR James Island | 2024 State SC , James Island
Ravenel is an impressive junior wide receiver who made his way into our Fab 50 list. What immediately stood out is his ability to make contested catches down near the goal line. You can tell by watching his film that it’s something he’s practiced over and over. Outside of that, he’s a speedster on the outside who will run right by defenders as he uses his eyes and hands to catch it.
