Early Preview of 2023 Tupelo

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Tupelo had a very great season last year. Their only loss came to the 6A state champions. They have several studs returning next season. This team is going to be very scary again. I'm sure they'll be trying to get over the hump.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Tupelo has a very high flying offense. They have a quarterback who can stand back and deliver the ball. They also have some very good skilled players who can run and catch. This team definitely does not have a problem moving the ball. Let's check out their top dogs on offense.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='344100' first='Jeremiah' last='Harrell'], QB, 2024</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Harrell is the man on their offense. He is the one who runs the show. This guy is a stud, and makes a lot of big plays. Harrell always puts the ball on the money. He also has very good arm strength. He can stretch the field for his team. Harrell doesn't have any offers, but that should change soon. This guy is a nice prospect. He deserves a chance to play on the next level.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2><strong>Qua Middlebrooks, RB, 2024</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This guy is a stud at running back. I love the way he plays the game. A short guy that has speed, with good hands out of the backfield. He also can get the hard yards between the tackles. He shares the ball with some guys, but he is the man in the backfield for Tupelo. Look for him to get a lot of carries next season. He will also be seeing a lot of screen plays. He has the speed to help stretch the field with Harrell. This guy has the tools to play on the next level. He should have a very good off-season. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='139851' first='JQ' last='Witherspoon'], WR, 2024</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Witherspoon is one of the top dogs they have returning to their receiving group. He is another guy that helps Tupelo pick up a lot of quick yards. He has some eye grabbing speed. When he gets rolling there is not a lot of things you can do to stop him. He knows how to attack the ball when it is up for grabs. Look for him to be making a lot of catches next season. I'm ready to see how his recruiting goes this off-season. He is a guy that can make it on the next level. With the right training he can possibly be a power five prospect. He has some very good speed.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2><strong>Jaeden Hill, RB, 2026</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>JJ Hill is a guy that is young, but got some good playing time towards the end of the season. He is also another great player they have coming up. He will be a big time name for this team. Kid has good speed, and he can also take the blows withing the trenches. I love the natural talent he has as well. This is another stud they have who can be a power five prospect. Watch what he does next season. Him and Middlebrooks are going to be a lot to be reckoned with next season. Hill is a monster at RB. Coach Ty Hardin speaks very highly of him.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Tupelo has a very stout defense. Next year I can bet they will have a bad taste in their mouth from this season. These guys want to get over the hump. They have some heavy hitters on that side or the ball. I love to see the way he approaches the game. Jernigan has a high motor. He has the size to be a power five prospect. He is very aggressive. Jernigan knows how to fill holes with a purpose. He does not sit back letting plays develop. Jernigan is a go getter when he plays the linebacker position. He has been getting a lot of interest from different colleges. Look for him to have a very good off-season. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='139850' first='Shamaar' last='Darden'], DB, 2024</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Darden is a very dangerous defensive back. This guy can lay the blows that will hurt your offensive players. He is a stud at his position. He knows how to cover as well. Darden is a complete safety. His stock should rise this off-season. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='212365' first='JaReylan' last='McCoy'], DL, 2026</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>McCoy has already made a very big name for himself. This kid is a big time prospect in the 2026 class. He already has several offers. Everybody already knows what he brings to the table. He is another name they have to keep up with next season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
