In Texas, all of the state games are held in one place The AT&T Stadium in Dallas, TX. One of the best Stadiums in the whole country and there we get to witness the results of all these young men’s hard work. The game I will be covering is South Oak Cliff Bears vs Port-Neches Groves Indians. It was a great game overall with Port-Neches Grove taking the lead early on going into the 2nd half. However, in the 2nd half, South Oak Cliff kicked in 2nd gear and kept on scoring touchdown after touchdown. The final score was 34-24 with South Oak Cliff becoming The 5A Division II State Champions. Both teams fought extremely hard in this article I’ll be breaking down South Oak Cliff Bears’ offensive standouts.
#11 Jamyri Cauley OLB, WR Jr 6’3 205 lbs
Everyone on South Oak Cliff’s wide receiver core is exceptional wide receivers, but Jamryi Cauley has great mittens. Throughout the whole game, Jamyri didn’t drop a single pass, and not only that his speed couldn’t be matched. Jari was outrunning everyone on Port-Neches Groves’ defense, catching every pass and getting numerous yards. Jamyri is a top college prospect having numerous college and university offers from; Southern Methodist University, The University of Texas San Antonio, Ole Miss University, Penn State University, Texas A&M University, and The University of Georgia to name a few.
#85 Joshua Manley WR Sr 6’0 160 lbs
Joshua Manley had an amazing last high school football game. Joshua left it all out on the field the 1st time Joshua stood out to me was when he had a fantastic catch for 42 yards that put South Oak Cliff in touchdown range. Joshua uses his height, physique, and speed well with his long leg he has a great long stride. Joshua is an efficient athlete I hope he continues his football career at the collegiate level.
#16 Trey Jackson Trey Jackson 6'6" | 215 lbs | TE South Oak Cliff | 2024 State TX WR, TE Jr 6’6 220 lbs
All I have is if you have to cover Trey Jackson Trey Jackson 6'6" | 215 lbs | TE South Oak Cliff | 2024 State TX I wish you Godspeed. Trey is 6’6 with an amazing build and he towers over everyone he plays against. With speed and strength to boot Trey is an ideal tight-end and wide receiver. Only being a junior and having a whole next season to display his skills he will be a top college prospect. Trey’s stats was one 15-yard reception touchdown.
#18 William Little QB Jr
Let’s talk about Mr. Offense MVP South Oak Cliff quarterback William Little. Willam has a great arm and knows how to lead and utilize his great receiving core. William’s passes were always on point and placed his wide receivers in the best spot possible. William was also quick and able to scramble when he didn’t see any available passing options. William’s stats were 9/16 passes completed, 235 passing yards, threw one touchdown pass, and ran in one touchdown himself.
