Highlights
Schneider is very deserving of cracking our 2023 rankings and joining the running back room. During the final season of his his prep career, he was a very effective back running downhill and catching the ball out of the backfield. He is a smaller low to the ground back that has natural lean, can fit into tight windows and shows good vision in traffic at the first level. He forces defenders to take bad angles in the open field, shows sneaky speed around the edge while not afraid to run tough in-between the tackles and gain the tough yards.
Highlights
The hybrid receiver/tight end is a very physical presence on the outside and can stretch the field, make contested catches with strong hands and ball location abilities while not afraid to block linebackers with toughness and finish. He is a mismatch on the outside with a big catch radius and high point abilities, while boxing out smaller defenders and gaining immediate body positioning. He has solid speed downfield, but is explosive out of his stance and can get off press coverage while able to run both vertical and underneath routes while understanding settling in zone coverage and finding coverage holes.
Perry had an outstanding year for Emmett and is one of the top signal callers in all of Idaho while holding some college offers already. He threw for 1,600+ yards and 33 touchdowns while only 6 INT’s and a 60% completion percentage. He is a no brainer next level college player and can throw on the run, is smart in the pocket and delivers a nice ball downfield with velocity and good spin on the ball. He has a very strong arm and shows on film he can go through his progressions while not afraid to check it down and feels pressure in the pocket/knows when to step up and deliver. Perry is also a very under rated runner and can beat you with his legs to not only buy time in the pocket, but take off in the open field.
Bustamonte enters our rankings as one of the top backs in the region and deservingly so. Through only eight games in the season, he rushed for over 1,200 yards and 20 TD’s which was one of the top in the state in 2022. He is a big and physical back that gets vertical in a hurry and runs tough behind his pads while showing terrific contact balance and leg drive through traffic, easily breaking arm and ankle tackles in the hole and open field. He is a well put together kid with a strong lower body and has some nice sudden twitch for his size. He should see more D-III+ interest come his way soon and has already been offered by one of the top D3 schools in the western region in Whitworth University.
Highlights
Hale is the ideal outside receiver colleges look for with length, range and a huge catch radius while able to make grabs in traffic and box out defenders, especially in the redzone. Off the ball, he has a explosive first step, is a vertical threat with downfield speed and can adjust well to the ball in the air. He was a big part in the explosive Blackfoot offense that had multiple next level pass catchers on their roster in 2022.
Beck is not only one of the top offensive lineman across Idaho, but he is one of the better offensive lineman that the western region has to offer in the 2023 class. He is a no brainer top 5 offensive lineman in our rankings and should have a very successful college career due to his natural athleticism, bend and already impressive technique. Beck committed quickly to Weber State a few months back and is a sure FCS level impact player.
