In this piece, we will preview top recruit performances seen during this championship weekend. Big games come with pressure to be the best. Many athletes leave it all on the field during championships games, and this weekend the recruits below did just that. This is part 2 of a two part series.
Carson Browne Carson Browne 5’11” | 190 lbs | RB St. John’s Prep | 2023 State NewE Carson Browne Carson Browne 5’11” | 190 lbs | RB St. John’s Prep | 2023 State NewE is 5’11” 180lbs positioned as a running back for his team. During state championship action, he rushed for 131 yards and a touchdown to help lead his team and capture the Miaa Division 1 Championship. His performance included several inside runs where he showed his ability to have power runs with a low center of gravity. He protected the ball with two hands during the inside runs. He is now committed to Univ of Rhode Island. HUDL PROFILE

Joenel Aguero Joenel Aguero 5’11” | 190 lbs | DB St. John’s Prep | 2023 State NewE is 5’11” 195lbs and is being recruited at a D1 power 5 level as a defensive back which he also plays for his team. He returned to St. John’s Prep after two years at national power IMG Academy. Aguero played consistent during the championship game making several tackles near the line of scrimmage against the opponents run game. He was also like glue in the secondary not allowing any separation from the receivers to take place. His play was a leadership performance to help lead his team to victory and clinch MIAA Div 1 State Championship. He is committed to Univ of Georgia.
Jamie McNamara Jamie McNamara 5’11” | 190 lbs | RB West Boylston | 2024 State NewE is 5’11” 190lbs positioned at linebacker and running back for his team. He was seen grinding out positive yards in the championship game that allowed him to finish the day with a game-high 136 yards on the ground on only 17 carries, and capped off by his game-ending 45-yard scamper to the end zone. His performance help lead his team to clinch the MIAA Div 7 Championship title. He is a downhill RB that can use his lower body strength to get tough yards. He is patient in allowing his blockers to get in front of him then reacting to the open space created. He is only a junior and will likely see college interest after the new year. HUDL PROFILE
Nathan Delgado Nathan Delgado 5’9″ | 160 lbs | RB Wakefield H.S. Ma | 2023 NewE is 5’9″ 155lbs positioned at running back and defensive back this season. On the day he totalled 18 carries for 54 yards, and 2 TDs to help lead his team to a Miaa Div 3 Championship title. He has a twin brother Christian, on the team that he shared the backfield with. He is shifty in open field. Has good body control and balance. Hands are reliable. HUDL PROFILE
Christian Delgado Christian Delgado 5’8″ | 150 lbs | ATH Wakefield H.S. Ma. | 2023 NewE is 5’9″ 155lbs positioned at running back and defensive back this season. On the day he totalled (12 carries, 119 yards, and a TD; with 3 receptions for 52 yards to help lead his team to a Miaa Div 3 Championship title. He has a twin brother Nathan, on the team that he shared the backfield with. He has the ability to wiggle away from defenders while in traffic. He reacts quickly to running lanes that open when running on the outside perimeter. Has good athletic skill that translates to his ability to play the slot effectively. Hands are reliable.
