Blue (pictured) began the season strong enough, rushing for 804 yards in the first five games before injuring a hand that sidelined him for the next six weeks. The 5-11, 180-pound UNC Charlotte commit returned to action on Friday night for his team’s 2A Lower State third-round playoff game against Woodland. Boy did he ever return.
Blue rushed for 133 yards and a touchdown and added 101 receiving yards and a touchdown to lead the Landsharks to a blowout 59-18 win over the Wolverines.
“It was tough sitting out and I was thinking there for a while that I might not be cleared to play for the rest of the season,” Blue said of his injured right hand. “When they cleared me earlier this week, I was so ready. I couldn’t wait to get back out here with my teammates. I was a little nervous at first but once I got hit a few times, I was good to go.”
Blue gained 18 yards on his initial carry of the game and followed with 15 yards on his next two carries. He had 91 yards by halftime and had 53 receiving yards on two receptions. In the third quarter, Blue caught a short pass from 2024 quarterback Edward Reidenbach and 48 yards later had a touchdown.
Reidenbach continues to be a steady and efficient leader of the offense. He had two scoring runs and played with a calm demeanor.
The offense did just about whatever they wanted, thanks to continued play up front. Top-ranked tackle prospect Monroe Freeling Monroe Freeling 6'7" | 285 lbs | OL Oceanside Collegiate Academy | 2023 State SC anchors a physical unit that comes off the ball with anger on every snap.

Harrison ended up throwing three touchdown passes to 2023 receiver Javion Neals and finished with more than 200 passing yards in his final game.
Harrison, who is mulling offers as a corner from Louisville, Virginia Tech, Oklahoma and Vanderbilt, threw for right at 2,000 yards and rushed for more than 1,000 with 45 combined touchdowns.
