Throughout 10 weeks of Georgia high school football, most teams are close to finishing their season, and others have already done so. Regardless of where they are at, below, we have listed the top 5 receiving leaders in the state right now, and we highly suggest you check them out when you get the chance.
Jayden Gibson- Rabun County
It should come as no surprise that Jayden Gibson has claimed the title of Regular Season Receiving Yards Leader in the state of Georgia. Not only is his entire team’s offense on fire lately, But Gibson himself has done a great job putting up impressive numbers. While his team sits with a 10-0 record, Gibson himself has only played in 9 games, but leads the state with a large margin. Currently, he has a total of 1,484 yards receiving, with an average of 164.9 yards a game. In addition to this, on 82 receptions, Gibson has racked up an average of 18 yards a reception, with his longest being 82 yards. With this, he has also concluded the regular season with an impressive 19 TD’s, and looks to add more to his resume by the end of the postseason.
Carer Hays- First Presbyterian Day
Hays, who has shown out for his team this year, has put up monstrous yards in just 9 games, and will look to do so this week as well, as his team closes out their regular season. Unfortunately, despite his efforts, they have not been enough to overcome his team’s current 2-7 record. Nevertheless, he put up around 1,149 yards so far, which is 48 more yards than the third place leader on this list. Per game, Hays has also averaged around 122 yards a game, with an average of 20 yards a reception on 57 different receptions. With these impressive numbers, it is also worth noting that Hays has scored on 13 TD’s this year, and has had a long of 92 yards on a reception.

Even though Lee is just shy of Hays’ current yardage total, he is also just past Jackson’s yardage total by 4 yards. After 9 games, Lee has racked up 1,101 yards, and has racked up an average of 122 yards per game. In those 9 games, Lee has also managed to put up 13 TD’s, and has averaged around 14.88 yards per reception on 74 receptions. Out of all of these catches, his longest went for 53 yards, but a large result of his contributions have put his team at a 7-2 overall record. As they go about finishing up their regular season this week, it will be interesting to see where he will be able to finish up on this list.
Andrico Jackson- Monroe
Jackson currently holds a receiving total of 1,005 yards, putting him just shy of Lee’s place on this list. Unlike Lee, Jackson has already played in 10 games, and has had a high level of success in doing so. He has not only scored 11 times for his team, but he has shown the ability to take the ball the distance. This season, his season long reception was 85 yards. With this, on 42 receptions , he has proven to be a big play threat, as he currently holds an average of 23.93 yards a reception.

– Veterans
While Veterans High School may be close to finishing their regular season, we can assure that they are not finishing with a record they were expecting. So far, they have lost 1-3 of their regional games, and have accumulated a record of 5-4. Nevertheless, even though their season is about to come to a close, we have no doubt that Franklin will finish strong. After playing in just 8 of his team’s 9 games so far this season, Franklin has racked up 1,000 yards, with an average of 125 yards a game. To add to this, Franklin has also averaged 13 yards per reception, on 73 catches. Going forward, one of the biggest things we would like to see him do as the season comes to a close, is to continue to add to the 8 TD’s he has caught this season. Regardless of the record, this will be proof that he was able to finish strong for his team.
