Kevin Maven-Winchester – RB – St. Francis
In North Fulton is where you’ll find one of the top private programs across Georgia in the up-and-coming St. Francis Knights. A program with coaches who played in the NFL, St. Francis is full of young talent and have one of the best sophomore classes across Georgia. One of them is sophomore running back, Kevin Maven-Wonchester, who has run wild so far this season behind a massive offensive line. A smaller back with toughness and breakaway speed, the young back has the ability to take any particular carry to the house. He reads his blocks well, shows good burst, and can take off in thee open field. He’s rushed 194 times this season for 1,474 yards and 14 touchdowns so far this season. They have a big matchup against Prince Avenue Christian in the semi-finals and he’s expected to see plenty of carries his way once again.

You can’t talk about the Wolverines without talking about their superstar quarterback in junior, Aaron Philo Aaron Philo 6'2" | 190 lbs | QB Prince Avenue Christian | 2024 State GA . The state’s leading passer this season, Philo has led an impressive air attack and has Prince Avenue undefeated heading into their semi-final matchup against St. Francis. Philo was terrific last year as a sophomore and has improved even more this season as a junior, throwing for 3,911 yards and 47 touchdowns to go along with just under 400 rushing yards and 8 more scores. He can make all the throws, he’s accurate, completing 70% of his passes, and he consistently makes the correct reads in the pocket. He’s in full command of the offense and has them rolling right now, scoring at least 30 points in every game but two so far this season. His recruitment could take off this off-season, but first he’s ready to lead the Wolverines to a state championship.
Damello Jones – ATH – Swainsboro
One of the hottest prospects in Georgia right now, Jones is having a dominant season both both sides of the ball for Swainsboro and it’s led to recent offers from Georgia, Alabama, among others. At 6-foot-1 180-pounds, Jones is a tremendous athlete who can lock down receivers at cornerback and run through defenses at running back. As a runner, Jones has rushed for 1,078 yards and 17 touchdowns while adding 7 more touchdowns as a receiver. He’s a natural runner and does a great job of eluding defenders down the field. In last weekend’s win over Rabun County. Jones rushed six times for 60 yards and two touchdowns while adding a 64-yard touchdown reception. As a defensive back, he wasn’t targeted at all during the game. His stock is rising and he’ll be asked to play all over the field again during Swinsboro’s semi-final game against Irwin County.
Shane Marshall Shane Marshall 5'9" | 210 lbs | RB Irwin County | 2025 State GA – RB – Irwin County
Irwin County has a strong rushing attack each and every season, and they have one of the state’s top sophomore backs on the roster this year in Shane Marshall Shane Marshall 5'9" | 210 lbs | RB Irwin County | 2025 State GA . At 5-foot-10 195-pounds, Marshall is a tackle-breaking back with quickness in the open field. He’s helped lead the Irwin County rushing attack this year, carrying the ball 143 times for 779 yards and 13 touchdowns on the season, leading them to an undefeated season. They use multiple backs, but if they want to put up points against an excellent Swainsboro defense, they’ll need Marshall to play at his best.
