There are a lot of young talented prospects and several sleeper prospects that could start getting looks for the next level. Prep Redzone Florida will always promote everybody in hopes of them getting the opportunity of playing college football at the next level.
Xavier Gunn, DB- Blanche Ely High c/o 23
Gunn has been a key defensive playmaker for the undefeated Blanche Ely Tigers. He helps patrol a secondary and defense that has only allowed 84 total points this season! Gunn will be counted on heavily to help slow down a high-powered St Thomas Aquinas offense this Friday in the regional final.
Strengths:
- Good man cover skills
- Can play the ball in the air
- Rarely allows separation
Chuck Jacobsen, RB- Coral Shores High c/o 23
5’10 200lbs
Jacobsen is an intriguing under the radar player out of Coral Shores High in Key Largo, Florida. He was outstanding this season rushing for 1,268 yards, averaging 8.5 yards per carry with 16 touchdowns. He had over 1,300 all purpose yards. He also chipped in on the defensive side of the ball with 30 tackles and seven tackles for loss. Good football player that could definitely play at some level in college.
Strengths:
- Good feet in the hole
- Good vision between the tackles
- Short area quickness
Alex Malyszko Alex Malyszko 6'2" | 205 lbs | ATH Palm Harbor University | 2026 State FL , LB- Palm Harbor University c/o 26
6’1 195lbs
Malyszko is a freshman prospect out of Palm Harbor University and is a player coaches need to keep an eye on these next few seasons. As a freshman he led the Hurricanes in tackles with 59. He also added 2 sacks and a fumble recovery on the season. Malyszko plays on both sides of the ball and rushed for 173 yards and a touchdown, and finish tied on the team with 7 catches for 149 yards through the air. Smart player on and off the field with a 3.7 GPA.
Strengths:
- Smart and agile
- Speed
- Aggressive tackler
Dylan Thomaselli, LB- Lake Minneola High c/o 23
6’3 225lbs
Thomaselli is a linebacker that I first spotlighted in the spring as an under the radar player to watch out for the season. My assessment was right, he’s had a productive season and has been a key contributor to one of the best defenses in the state. On the season he has registered 27 tackles, a team leading 10 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, and a forced fumble. His stock is on the rise and he has picked up an offer from Tennessee Tech.
Strengths:
- Smart and doesn’t get caught out of position
- Versatility
- Relentless in pursuit
