Also, if you want more intel from this one, check out my colleague Jake Evans game recap that was just published yesterday!
The Process to our South Dakota: 9AA All-State Championship Team
How did we put this team together? We took several pages of notes on Friday morning and utilized the stats portion as well (although as usual, we don’t just evaluate off stats at Prep Redzone Dakotas alone-the skillsets we saw on the field matter most in our eyes) Unlike how it is done at the state championship games, we do not just give the team that won all the love as for a lot of these seniors, this might be the last time they get recognition at the high school level which is why it so important to read the eyes of how BOTH teams players looked throughout the 9AA state final. Between the 9AA state champion Wall Eagles and the 9AA runner-ups from the Parkston Trojans, we identified 23 players (some on both sides of the ball) to make our South Dakota 9AA All-Tournament Team showing off the best of the best players from both rosters. I also looked at it from the perspective of, if I could build a Super Team from both of these rosters, who would I build it around on both sides of the ball? I certainly LOVE how much talent the Wall Eagles has when it comes to looking at the next level.

In all the games I watched this weekend, if I handed out hardware for the best specialist my choice by far would be Wall 2023 kicker Blair Blasius.
