Here’s a look at some of the Rams that stuck out:
As good as advertised every time I see Proctor. The Iowa recruit looks like a man among boys against a lot of boys built like men. He’s way more than a big body, however. He’s a high-level athlete with a technically sound game. Don’t be surprised to see him starting, or at the very least, getting into the rotation next season with the Hawkeyes.
Highlights
At 6-foot-4, 195 pounds, Moberly brings good size to the position. He’s a good athlete with a strong arm. He completed more than 70 percent of his passes coming to Cedar Falls with 12 touchdown tosses and four interceptions. He added four scores on the ground.
Highlights
Simply put, one of the top athletes in the state. It will be cool watching him compete on the gridiron and track if he chooses to do so at Iowa State. I hadn’t seen Sama in awhile and was impressed with his strides as a defensive back. He rushed 14 times for 87 yards and three touchdowns in this contest. The best is yet to come.
Highlights
Carson Robbins
Carson Robbins
Robbins combines solid size with a versatile skill set. He works as a slot receiver, entering the finals with 576 receiving yards on 33 catches with five touchdowns. He returned 11 kicks for 305 yards. The skill set plays in the secondary as well.
Harrison Gibson
Harrison Gibson
Gibson is a taller back at 5-foot-10, 190. He’s a well-rounded runner with a high aptitude for the position. Some of it is football talent and some of it working on his craft. Will be interested to see what he looks like next summer. Potential is there.
