McDermott is a high-level athlete with a top-flight football IQ. The South Dakota State commitment also is considering an Iowa preferred walk-on opportunity. He’s really just scratching the surface of his potential. He has plenty of room for physical development. He snagged a one-handed pick in this one that was Sports Center worthy and added another interception in this contest.

Jace Borcherding
Jace Borcherding
Borcherding really impressed me with his mature game. He’s a super athlete with good footwork, strength and feel. I like how he uses his hands and keeps defenders in front of him in pass pro. He drives through defenders in the run game. He’s a college player if he so chooses.
Eddie Becu
Eddie Becu
Becu locks up the middle for the Saints, forcing plays intended to go inside wide to the boundary where his linebackers and defensive backs can make plays. He gets off the ball well with quickness and also brings power. He has strong hands and sheds blocks.
In simplest terms, Cunningham is a good football player. He ranks as one of the state’s top running backs in 4A and also stands out at linebacker, where he could help a college program. He’s a talented athlete with room to grow.
Highlights
Sundell is ultra-productive because he understands how to play the game and is relentless. He’s always going full speed. He’s physical and flows well to the ball. He refuses to stay blocked. I think he could be a safety at the next level.
