Rolesville began to display its dominance in the second half to take control of the game. The players listed performances caught my attention throughout the game.
Rolesville
Miles Horne – QB, 5’10” 180. Miles displayed calmness as he led the offensive unit with a combination of running and passing plays throughout the game. He displayed good velocity and accuracy on the short and medium-range passes. Miles delivered sideline passes on target to the receivers. He displayed quickness to elude defenders to avoid being sacked while under pressure in the pocket.
Isiah Jones Isiah Jones 5'11" | 190 lbs | RB Rolesville | 2024 NC – RB, 5’10” 185 (No. 4 RB, No. 36 Overall). Isaiah displayed good balance and toughness while running inside for yardage. He displayed the ability to accelerate past defenders after following blockers into an opening. Isaiah does not go down after initial contact is made. He has reached the 1,000 yards-mark in rushing this season. The recruiting is expected to increase for him.
De’Von Thomas – RB, 5’8″ 190. Devon displayed the ability to make the first defender miss and gain additional yardage. He is a shifty running back who accelerates quickly into an opening for big yardage. Devon has reached the 1,000-yards mark in rushing this season. Power5 and D1 schools are expressing an interest in him.
Tamarcus Cooley Tamarcus Cooley 6'1" | 185 lbs | DB Rolesville | 2023 State NC – WR, 6’1″ 185 (No. 1 DB, No. 4 Overall). Tamarcus plays on both sides of the ball for his team. He ran good pass routes and separation from defenders to make catches. He displayed good hands on the catches made in traffic. The NC State commit did a good job of using his body to shield defenders on the catches made in traffic.
Noah Rogers Noah Rogers 6'3" | 185 lbs | WR Rolesville | 2023 State NC – WR, 6’2″ 190 (No. 1 WR, No. 1 Overall). Noah ran precision pass routes and separation from defenders to make catches. He displayed speed to accelerate past defenders in the open field to make catches in the endzone for scores. The Tennessee commit is very difficult to defend in man-coverage.
Carsten Casady Carsten Casady 6'6" | 275 lbs | DL Rolesville | 2023 State NC – T, 6’6″ 280 (No. 40 DL, No. 327 Overall). Carsten plays on both sides of the ball for his team. Carsten displayed good footwork and technique to control defenders while opening lanes for the running backs. The Connecticut commit displayed a solid base while protecting the quarterback on passing plays.
Logan Pulley – T, 6’4″ 235. Logan displayed good footwork and technique to control defenders while opening lanes for the running backs. He displayed a solid base while protecting the quarterback on passing plays. The recruiting is expected to start for him.
Gavin Marks Gavin Marks 6'2" | 300 lbs | OL Rolesville | 2025 State NC – C, 6’2″ 275 (No. 4 OL, No. 11 Overall). Gavin displayed good footwork and technique to control defenders while opening lanes for the running backs. He is quick out of his stance to make contact with defenders to drive-block them out of the play. The recruiting interest is expected to increase for him.
Jakobe Campbell Jakobe Campbell 6'4" | 290 lbs | OL Rolesville | 2024 State NC – T, 6’4″ 275 (No. 19 OL, No. 120 Overall). JaKobe displayed good footwork and technique to control defenders while opening lanes for the running backs. He displayed a solid base while protecting the quarterback on passing plays. The recruiting interest is expected to increase for him.
Overhills
Jordan Bryant Jordan Bryant 6'3" | 180 lbs | QB Overhills | 2025 State NC – QB, 6’3″ 200. Jordan displayed calmness in the pocket while directing the offense throughout the game. He displayed good accuracy on the slant passes on target to the receivers and running backs. He tucked it and ran to gain yardage to avoid being sacked. The recruiting interest is expected to start for him.
Kevin Lalin – RB, 5’10” 200. Kevin displayed good balance and vision while running inside for tough yardage. He followed his blockers while looking for an opening to gain yardage. Kevin displayed speed to accelerate past defenders in the open field for big yardage. The recruiting interest is expected to increase for him.
Nick Magyar – T, 6’4″ 270. Nick displayed good footwork and technique to control defenders while opening lanes for the running backs. He displayed quickness and upper body strength while opening lanes on the running plays.
Jontez James jr. – C, 6’2″ 260. Jontez displayed good footwork and technique to control defenders while opening lanes for the running backs. He displayed quickness and upper body strength while opening lanes on the running plays.
Brandon Gama-Mendoza – T, 6’1″ 280. Brandon displayed good footwork and technique to control defenders while opening lanes for the running backs. He displayed quickness and upper body strength while opening lanes on the running plays.
Ezra Devance – G, 6’0″ 270. Erza displayed good footwork and technique to control defenders while opening lanes for the running backs. He displayed quickness and upper body strength while opening lanes on the running plays.
