Who are they? Let’s take a look…
Kayden McDonald Kayden McDonald 6'0" | 290 lbs | DL North Gwinnett | 2023 State GA – North Gwinnett
One of the top overall defenders in Georgia and one of the top interior defensive line prospects across the country in the 2023 class, the dominant defensive tackle out of North Gwinnett held offers from some of the top college programs across the country. In the end, the dominant lineman chose the Ohio State Buckeyes over Michigan, Clemson, and many other impressive programs. A game-changer in the middle of the defensive line, McDonald has been bullying opposing linemen all year long, making 46 tackles, 27 TFLs and 8 sacks on the season. It’s clear the Buckeyes are getting one of the country’s premier interior defense linemen.
Anthony Miller – Duluth
One of the top pass-catching tight ends in Gwinnett County, the Duluth standout is someone who can play either tight end or defensive end at the next level. The next level is South Florida where the big hybrid athlete committed to last week. At 6-foot-5 240-pounds, Miller is a good athlete with plenty of size. He already looks like a D1 prospect and shows soft hands in the passing game. He runs well for his size and has a knack for finding the end-zone as a weapon in the passing game. As a senior so far this year, Miller has caught 20 passes for 325 yards and 7 touchdowns. He’s a big-play waiting to happen and has a chance to make an early impact for South Florida the minute he arrives.
DJ Chester DJ Chester 6'5" | 295 lbs | OL Eagle's Landing | 2023 State GA – Eagles’ Landing Christian Academy
A massive interior guard and one of the top overall lineman not only in Georgia, but across the South, Chester stands at an easy 6-foot-5 300-pounds and had the opportunity to play for some of the top programs in the country. In the end, the versatile lineman chose to play down in Baton Rouge at LSU, a program quickly on the rise led by new head coach Brian Kelly. A big, powerful lineman, Chester opens up plenty of holes and will be asked to do a lot of that at LSU. He has some length on his frame as well, but his lower-body strength stands out as well. He plays with balance, shows good footwork, and has the ability to really dominate at time. He played like a man amongst boys as a senior, so it’s easy to see why the LSU staff was hard after him.
