The stadium was packed, fans were excited, and it was an electric environment for football.
It was close the first two quarters then in the second half the game was completely dominated by Legacy and I walked away very impressed with the performance of the front 7 on legacy’s offensive and defensive lines. Along with the big guys putting in work they had some break out performances from their skill positions as well.
Lucas Barrientes -Midland Legacy- Class of 2024
Lucas had a huge day of production and helped set the tone of physicality early. He had a textbook pull which is attached below that helped break a 20 yard gain and eventual touchdown.
The 6’3 260 pound prospect plays like he’s 290 or 300 pounds and did a great job of finishing his knockdown pancake blocks with some extra syrup (emphasis). His kick slide and pass sets were on point and he had visibly improved his patience and strike landmarks from weeks past.
Chase Barton -Midland Legacy- Class of 2023
Chase is a big framed Linemen that got most of his snaps on the Defensive side of the ball and was a true difference maker with his effort and strain.
The 6’1 275 pounder was stout at the point of attack and was active all night. He impressed me with his speed to power rushes and his Athleticism to get flat down the line and chase the football.
Ezequiel Luna – Midland Legacy- Class of 2023
Ezequiel is a 5’10 185 pound explosive running back out of Midland that was one of the most impressive prospects on the field. The senior is a team captian that reportedly squats 475, benches 305, and runs a 4.6 40 yard dash. He had a huge night of production and even put himself up over 1,200 total yards on the season.
Aidan Serrano – Midland Legacy- Class of 2025
Aidan is a 6’1 175 pound shifty athlete who caught my eye and really impressed me with his willingness to block down the field as a receiver. He possesses a great burst and is very sudden gettin in and out of his breaks. He did a great job being active all night and will continue to be a huge cog in their offensive success.
