Continue ReadingThe Fort Smith Southside Mavericks have one of the best Offensive Guards in the state. That being Junior Guard Kobe Branham Kobe Branham 6'6" | 320 lbs | OL Fort Smith Southside | 2024 State AR . A 6’6, 320 pound massive player making holes for the runningbacks and protecting his quarterback. Kobe is an excellent run blocker as well as a protector of his Quarterback.
He is strong academically with a 4.0 GPA and an ACT Score of 20. Kobe bench presses 345 and squats 405. His run blocking is especially good with 28 pancake blocks so far this season and pass protection of no sacks allowed so far. Kobe is drawing interest already as a Junior from Oklahoma State and Arkansas.
He has attended Oklahoma State with two game day visits this far and one coming up with the University Of Arkansas. Kobe attended camps this past summer at Oklahoma State, Arkansas, Arkansas State University, the University Of Central Arkansas and Arkansas Tech. He plans on visiting Oklahoma State, Arkansas and Michigan next summer.
Kobe’s personal goals for this season to dominate the run game and not to allow a sack with a team goal of winning a State Championship. He gives most of his credit to his Offensive Line Coach Stewert who has given him the support to succeed. Kobe feels overlooked and wants to prove to everyone that he deserves to be mentioned as one of the best Offensive Linemen in the state.
With his determination to succeed and be the best that he can be I have no doubt that he has a bright future ahead of him.
