Many top performers are the primary targets Prep Redzone represents to colleges. The previews of these performances will also include a short evaluation of the recruits’ talents and abilities as known by the regional scout. We will include game footage of all performances or the recruits updated highlight film if it is available by publish date.
Blake Hebert Blake Hebert 6’4″ | 210 lbs | QB Brunswick School | 2025 State New E had himself a great weekend. He completed 10 of 11 passes for 117 yards and three touchdowns on the day. He shows command presence with very good awareness in the pocket. He can escape the pocket to make plays with his feet or arm. Shows good arm strength and ability to make all the college throws. Has a quick release with good accuracy. He is a projected D1 recruit who holds early offers from Uconn and Umass.
Highlights
Jhamir Mercedat is a junior who totaled 225 yards of offense this weekend. He had four rushing touchdowns and one receiving TD to help lead his team to victory. He has a lower center of gravity. Shows loose hips that allow him to wiggle and make defenders miss in open field. Fluid movement patterns, vision to find running lanes, balance and body control, elusiveness, and foot quickness are all visible in his skill set.
The senior RB ran for 125 yards and also had 65 receiving yards to equal 190 total yards of offense with three td’s on the day. He shows he has the power and ability to run behind pads and get the tough yards. Shows ability to catch out of the backfield and get the YAC. He appears aggressive with a physical skill set. He finishes his runs with square shoulders and low pad level into defenders. Holds an offer of support to the admission process at Colby College and could see additional college interest at the end of the season.
Bryce Leaman Bryce Leaman 6’0″ | 180 lbs | QB Bishop Fenwick H.S. Ma. | 2024 State New E is a junior who threw for 5 td’s on the day while completing 20 of 30 passes for 313 yards to help lead his team to victory. His throws are seen with a quick release and flick of the wrist on short passes. He does a good job being patient in RPO and hiding the ball. Has the athletic ability to run the football.
Javin Willis Javin Willis QB Wakefield | 2023 New E had himself a day this weekend. He threw 4 td’s while completing 14 0f 16 passes for a total of 324 yards to help lead his team to victory. Seen undersized at the QB position, he still shows a very good athletic skill set that can’t be ignored. Confidence and composure in the pocket is present. He can throw on the run with velocity and accuracy. Has patience in the pocket and can escape the pocket to make plays with his feet or arm.
