The Wolves of Clarkston played host to the Highlanders of Adams and the game came down to the LAST PLAY! If you missed this instant classic… don’t worry, here’s your recap!
This first quarter was exactly what you would expect from his heavyweight battle… two giants getting their feel around the ring, throwing a one big punch a piece. Adams’ landed the first punch in the form of a jet sweep from 45 yards out via Senior ATH, Jake Sukkar, to cap off their first drive. The Wolves responded with a head tapping grab from grab from Junior WR, Brody Kosin Brody Kosin 6'6" | 225 lbs | TE Clarkston | 2024 State MI , with a beautiful fade ball from QB, Steven Kossak. Adams’ following drive ended with a fumble, giving the ball back to a hunger pack of Wolves. Clarkston ending up having to punt, which was blocked by Adams’, Brady Prieskorn Brady Prieskorn 6'6" | 230 lbs | TE Rochester Adams | 2024 State MI to end the first.
Tied 7-7
After the big blocked punt, Prieskorn’s number was called again… but this time in the form of a 45 yard dart from Senior QB, Parker Picot Parker Picot 6'2" | 185 lbs | QB Rochester Adams | 2023 State MI . The ensuing kickoff, Junior ATH, Desman Stephens II Desman Stephens II 6'2" | 205 lbs | DB Clarkston | 2024 State MI , decided to silent the Highlander fans by returning the kickoff 90 yards to pay dirt! The Highlander’s offense wasn’t done yet and marched down the field with Jake Sukkar punching in his second score of the evening. Clarkston punted on their next possession, and just when you thought Adams could run away with a lead, Picot threw a costly INT. With momentum on their side, the Wolves dug deep into their playbook and struck with a jet sweep pass, from Desman Stephans II to Cole Church, from 38 yards out!
Halftime 21-21
The third quarter was a good time to go to the concession stands because the fireworks weren’t going off until the 4th. Adams had a long, clock draining drive that ended with a turnover on downs, Clarkston got the ball back and starting marching to end the third.
21-21 end of 3
To start the 4th Senior RB, Ethan Clark Ethan Clark 6'1" | 195 lbs | RB Clarkston | 2023 State MI , punched in a 3 yard score to put the Wolves up. Adams would respond yet again, with Picot finding Prieskorn through the air from 35 yards out, but the PAT was no good!!! Clarkston next drive ended in a punt. Adams took the lead when Parker Picot Parker Picot 6'2" | 185 lbs | QB Rochester Adams | 2023 State MI broke loose on the ground from 42 yards out, giving the ball back to Clarkston with only a few minutes left in the game. Hope you got your popcorn in the 3rd because its showtime. The Wolves started marching as the clock was ticking down. In the redzone Steven Kossak fell down during a play action fake!!! THE CLOCK WAS TICKING!!! The Wolves spiked the ball with seconds left on the clock and no time outs. With one last play Kossak dropped back and found Desman Stephans II in the corner of the end zone!!!!!
Clarkston WINS 36-33

Desman Stephens II Desman Stephens II 6'2" | 205 lbs | DB Clarkston | 2024 State MI looked a lot like Demond Howard on Friday night! The 2024 ATH was behind 3 of the Wolves Touchdowns to help him win and advance to the Final Four. Returned one, threw one and caught the game winner with seconds left. This dude can play ball! Great vision, quick burst, twitchy with the rock and can get up! The 6’3 star has all the makings to play at the next level, and look for his name to have a big impact in the Final Four against Caledonia.
Ethan Clark Ethan Clark 6'1" | 195 lbs | RB Clarkston | 2023 State MI RB, 2023 Clarkston
STATS: RUSHING- 29 Carries 211 yards 1TD
The Princeton commit might be the best RB in the state of Michigan… Entering Fridays contest, Clark had 2,333 yards and 29 Touchdowns on the season. Everyone in the state knew he was going to get his touches and he still racked up 211 yards and a TD! Clark is explosive, has great vision in the zone run game, and makes the first guy miss alot! And is a 3 down back! In my eyes the most exciting RB to watch this season and excited to see him run against Caledonia next weekend.
