Best Defensive performance of week 12 5A

The Rebels were able to make adjustments and lock the jaguars down in the second half.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Rebels were able to rally behind the play of [player_tooltip player_id='376573' first='Payton' last='Wainwright'] (2023 LB) who had 9 total tackles, 8 solo, 1 assisted and also had 1 of the teams 2ints. Wainwright is a special teams guy and that will help him at the next level. Has good vision when reading run/pass game and makes decisions quickly. He has good hands which is evident in his Int to help his team seal the game.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Another key guy was [player_tooltip player_id='381202' first='James' last='Cillessen'] (2024 LB) he had 13 total tackles, 8 solo and 5 assisted. He is a player that has good vision and is physical at the point of contact and when taking on blocks. He plays with speed and when he is called to blitz he goes with speed making it hard to pick him up in pass protection. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Rebels defense was able to shut out the Jaguars in the second half and come from behind in the fourth to pull out the victory. The Rebels will have another tough test this week in a revenge game against the only team that was able to beat the Rebels in Ralston Valley Mustangs.
