This past week I am focusing on some of the playoffs undiscovered stars participating in the second round of the Alabama High School Athletic Association playoffs. These players signify some of the most talented athletes in the state. This week we have some of the best players and also some of the most underrated players that has been proven their point that they should be in the talks in today’s recruiting world.
As I always say let’s dive into some Alabama football!
John Paul Head
John Paul Head
During the first round of the Alabama High School Athletic Association playoffs, John Paul Head lit up the field against Austin High School. This guy has been a sleeper all year and has now shown to the state that he is a quality athlete for the 2024 class. In last week’s game against Austin High School, he threw 22 passes with 16 completions for 229 yards. He also rushed for 18 yards and four touchdowns. This kid has the arm strength, leg strength, and QB IQ to be a top player in Alabama. John Paul Head is prepared to face his next playoff opponent, the Thompson Warriors, whom the Rebels lost 34-14 in the regular season.I believe John Paul will come into this game with a vengeance and the capacity to do what he does best and assist his team to a victory. I’m looking forward to seeing this guy in action for this game since he’s incredibly underrated and has the potential to outperform everyone else this Friday night on the opposing team. Even though John Paul is a baseball player, I’m looking forward to seeing what opportunities this kid gets to compete at a high level and in Collegiate football.

Jackson Beatty
Jackson Beatty
Human highlight reel! Jackson Beatty is without a doubt one of the top wide receiver in the 6A class as well as the state of Alabama “period!” Nobody can tell me that this kid isn’t in the same league as some of the state’s best players. This kid has proven year after year why he belongs in that group Jackson is a player who is on the ready to break out. Teams must strategically prepare differently when it comes to Jackson he may come in strong and fast off a jet sweep or bust a nice smooth route deep down the field for a touchdown. I understand that it is sometimes hard to game plan around athletes like Jackson for opposing teams, but his ability to catch the ball and develop open plays has been beneficial to his team throughout this whole year.

Kaleb Jackson
Kaleb Jackson
Talking about a force defender kaleb Jackson is a phenomenal linebacker for the Hoover High School Buccaneers. This guy was flying all over the field this past Friday night against Bob Jones High School. Kaleb has everything that you want on the defensive side of the ball with great eyesight on where a running play is developing. Understanding the strength that this kid has is incredible. This kid has a well-balanced line of play when it comes to football, where he could come down in a gap and ease his way into the backfield for a sack on the quarterback. The IQ that this young man has is such a great quality for a linebacker. Kaleb maintains everything inside and outside of the pocket for the Buccaneers defense, and he is a true leader on the defensive side of the ball. Kaleb recently received an offer from Miles College, straight out of Birmingham, Alabama, and I can tell you that this opportunity is going to be huge for this kid, and honestly, I feel that more offers are coming his way.
Jackson Parris
Jackson Parris
Let’s talk about another great wide receiver in the state of Alabama, Jackson Parris! This kid’s name has not been circulating around the state as much as it should. Jackson is currently holding down the fork at number 12 in the stat rankings for wide receivers in the state of Alabama. This kid has great technique, great hands, and is a great blocker on the perimeter. Jackson has 1,036 receiving yards with only 58 receptions for the year, with an average of 94.2 yards per game, 17.86 yards per reception, and nine total touchdowns. Just watching this kid play shows a lot about his style of play. He is very versatile and quick on his feet, and he enjoys getting open for touchdowns. This is another kid that needs more recognition for his game, and I am looking forward to seeing what he does throughout the remainder of the playoffs. He also received his first offer recently from Gannon University, and honestly, I won’t be surprised if he gets more.
