In today’s article, we are going to look at both teams and throw out a few players to keep an eye on this Friday night. The matchup has the potential to be a great one.
Bryant Hornets
The Bryant Hornets have built a dynasty over the past decade. Bryant mixes a talented offense with a suffocating defense. It has become routine for the Hornets’ defense to shutout opposing football teams. The Bryant offense does an excellent job of mixing the play calling up. The Hornets will run the ball and force the safeties to come up before hitting the opposition with a play-action pass. Meanwhile, the defense is one of the most impressive in the state. Bryant can pressure the quarterback and force the opposing quarterback to throw it before he is ready.

The Bryant signal caller is going to have the opportunity to terrorize the 7-A Conference over the next two years. Jordan Walker Jordan Walker 6'1" | 205 lbs | QB Bryant | 2025 State AR is a quarterback that can hurt an opposing defense throwing or running the football. Walker does a good job of throwing the football with accuracy. He is able to extend the play using his legs and keeping his eyes down the field. The Conway defense will need to account for Walker this Friday in both the passing and rushing attacks.

A defensive back to watch out for over the next few months is Bryant’s Drake Fowler Drake Fowler 6'2" | 160 lbs | DB Bryant | 2024 State AR . Fowler is a safety that can absolutely unload on opposing wide receivers. He has the speed needed to cause plenty of headaches for opposing wide outs. The Bryant safety has the ability to pick off passes and take it the other direction. Fowler is going to be a player to watch out for in the playoffs and a player to watch out for next season.
Conway Wampus Cats
The Conway Wampus Cats have produced another impressive season this season. Conway has used a strong rushing attack to go along with accurate throws down the field to put opposing football teams away this season. Meanwhile, on the defensive side of the ball, the Wampus Cats have displayed the ability to shut down the opponent’s rushing attack. Games between Conway and Bryant are always physical, and this week’s edition should not be any different.

Carr is rarely brought down on initial contact and is a running back that can take the game over if unaccounted for on the field. Carr has had a strong season this season. He has the potential to have another strong performance this Friday and is a player to keep an eye on this week.

Garrett Sanders Garrett Sanders 6'1" | 215 lbs | LB Conway | 2023 State AR is a tenacious linebacker that refuses to give up on a play. He does an excellent job of patrolling the middle of the field for the Wampus Cats. However, he does a good job of using his speed to get into the opposing offensive backfield. Sanders is a linebacker that you can watch, and his play makes you feel like he is in on every play. Sanders is going to be another Wampus Cat to watch out for this weekend. The Conway-Bryant matchup has the potential to be a special one to wind down the season.
