Cyrus Polu: OLB, TE , KR / 6’2 / 205lbs / Desert Hills HS So.
Polu is an explosive athlete that plays with good burst in his stance. Shows good awareness to read and react quickly. Good strength control blocks at the POA and lateral quickness to go sideline to sideline. Has range to make open field tackles and shows good instincts, anticipation, and reaction in pass coverage. A sure tackler with explosion.
Stewart Taufa: OT, DL / 6’3 / 275lbs / Desert Hills HS So.
Taufa is a big physical player that plays good bend and burst in his stance. Shows strength, leg drive, hips and feet on run blocks. Good mobility to pull from the tackle position to kick out or lead through blocks. Has the ability to cut off linebackers and make open field blocks. Sets base, contact, sustains feet and balance in pass protection. Sustains and finishes blocks from snap to whistle.
Tyden Morris: HB,DB / 6’0 / 215lbs / Desert Hills HS Sr.
Morris is an athletic player with a good quick start. Shows quickness and vision to pick, slide and accelerate to the open hole on inside runs. Good balance to bounce off tacklers in open field. Has good hands to catch passes out the backfield and shows willingness to pick up blitzes on pass protection.
Steele Barben: QB / 6’0 / 155lbs / Crimson Cliffs HS Jr.
Barben is an athletic player with good snap control and play action ability. Good body control and quick feet as a pocket passer. Has a good release in his throws wasting no motion. Good accuracy to hit his targets on short and long routes. Good mobility to scramble out the pocket and make plays with his legs. Poise to stay in the pocket and find his target while under pressure.
Parker Andrus: NG / 6’2 / 250lbs / Crimson Cliff HS Jr.
Andrus finished the season with 86 total tackles and 4.5 sacks. He’s a big physical player that plays with good bend and burst in his stance. Shows initial quickness to read and react at the snap. Good strength to control blocks at the LOS. Shows good hand speed to set up and shed blocks. Good lateral pursuit to chase down ball carriers for short gains. A physical tackler that make the sure hit and stop ball carriers at the LOS.
