Deondre Riley
Deondre Riley
Deondre Riley is a supreme athlete with keen instincts for the ball. He has the ability to cover a lot of space within seconds and consistently deflect passes thrown his way. Whether it’s man or zone coverage Riley does his job well and shuts down opposing route runners. This year he has hauled in 7 interceptions, which is one more than the Current NFL Leader C.J Gardner-Johnson for the Philedelphia Eagles. Deondre’s awareness and great hands has allowed for him to be an excellent coverage DB who can easily take away an offenses best playmaker. This athlete would make a great addition to any defensive backfield which is why he is one of 2A’s top DBs
Blake Taylor
Blake Taylor
Blake Taylor is an electric ball hawk who was only able to play 4 games this year but still recorded 6 Interceptions. Due to unforeseen circumstances Taylor was not able to stay on the field for the duration of the season but when he was active this athlete was playing lights out. His demeanor and pose was just daring opposing QBs to throw his way. He was excellent in coverage and had the speed to be able to make tackles in the open field. One can be hopeful that Blake Taylor will return healthy next year and display what he can do given a full season. If he can match his performance from last year he will certainly be a terrific prospect and one of 2A’s top DBs
Quayshunn Lane
Quayshunn Lane
Quayshunn puts himself on this list by merit of his 6 INTs and multiple pass deflections. Lane is a sure tackler both in the box and the open field. Although he may seem undersized he has the tenacity and awareness to make plays with the ball in the air. He consistently denies the reception as he does an excellent job of providing tight coverage. Quayshunn has shown that he has the speed to keep up with top end receivers as well as the aggressiveness to cover bigger tight ends. Quayhunn lane would make a great JUCO DB and would fit perfectly in any local program. This is why Lane is one of 2A’s top DBs
