Brandt was invaluable to his Brookings team in more ways than one, he was a true weapon on both sides of the ball and was an athlete through and through. On the offensive side of the ball he was a highly effective for me back that was not only to find holes in that what his offensive line made but able to grind defensive players down throughout the entire game to where they were worn down enough he’d be able to go out for a big gain and generate his own yards. his injury Midway through the season while costly did show me one thing, before he got injured he was arguably one of the most valuable players that were not defined by a true position and instead just play football. on the defensive side of the ball, he shifted around in a few places, but new sometimes song on the defensive line and sometimes in the boxes linebacker, but what he did was played hard and got his team stops, not much more you could ask out of your athlete’s player.
- Ethan Offman – S, WR
Offman had quite a few Tools in his bag one of those being he was incredibly fast and was able to keep up with just about anyone. this made him an incredibly valuable weapon on both sides of the ball we’re on defense he bounced around and secondary type of player is what we generally see as a safety or cornerback where he would mostly line up in zone coverage where he could try to pick off an interception or give some coverage for his team. it was great to see you everything that he could do when he was given the opportunities to. offensively he was a wide receiver type of player who could line up in the slot to go out and catch some quick pass in the field to generate yards using his speed or even with judge sweeps and end around where he could rush to throw off the defense of rhythm. he proved himself to be very valuable for his team and was a key player all year.
- Andrew Brennan Andrew Brennan ATH Aberdeen Roncalli | 2023 State – DB, WR
Brennan is also a typical style athletic player that might have had the true position but when he does is play hard and utilize his great speed to his advantage. not to mention he has physical capabilities unlike other ethics now players where he’s a little bit stronger than you might expect so he can lay some big hits down and even force fumbles strictly using its head power alone. He is able to keep up with even some of the fastest players on offense and keep up with players on Defense to where he is not easily beaten on the field where he often Burns Defenders or can simply just overpower them using his skill set. A very talented player that would fit into many different college games and quite a few different positions, it is just up to him or the coaching staff around him to find what he can do best.
- Trenton Peterson Trenton Peterson 5'11" | 180 lbs | ATH Sioux Falls Lincoln | 2023 State – DB
Peterson is simply put a versatile defensive player that went on the field trying to do one thing, keep the ball out of anyone’s hands and forced turnovers. while that might be the job of you think any defensive player Peterson always tries to go for that big plane or listen to the turnover that can swing his team in the favor. why we might not have a true set position he feels much more like a defensive back style of player who can play somewhere in the secondary to break up and get interceptions, something that very comments at this level but with some refining he can truly turn into a lurking safety that would be able to throw off the rhythm of any quarterback that he faces. Pierce has a very high ceiling with what he can do as a defensive player and I think with some fine-tuning even truly do that.
