Olympic – DL Eliyt Nairne Eliyt Nairne 6'3" | 255 lbs | DL Olympic | 2023 State NC – 3 Tackles, 2 Tackles For Loss, 3 Pass Breakups and a TD in victory – The Liberty commit showed an incredible range of talent in this one – he has explosive burst off of the defensive line – he usually faces double teams most of the time, however this week despite that he was able to make some really big plays. For a Defensive Lineman to have 3 pass breakups, you know he is something special for sure. Eliyt stands at 6’3 and 270 pounds.
Mooresville – DB Josiah Hunter – 2 Interceptions, Pick 6, Blocked Punt, Forced Fumble, 6 Tackles in victory – One of Josiah’s interceptions was a Pick 6 that just sent the Blue Devils onward to a huge victory. Josiah also had a blocked punt, a forced fumble, and 6 tackles in the victory. As a prospect, Josiah is in the 2024 class and stands at 6’0 and 160 pounds. As a DB I am truly impressed with his open-field tackling ability and ball skills when attacking it in the air.
Pine Lake – DE Gabe Bolivar – 3 Sacks, 7 tackles, 2 Hurries, and a 76yd blocked FG return for a TD in One Half in victory – Bolivar also plays running back for the undefeated Pine Lake Pride, and on the 1A level they will be a team to watch in the playoffs. As a prospect, Bolivar stands at a smaller size at 5’6 and 170 pounds but with his heart and talent, I think he can definitely play somewhere on the next level if it is his desire. Great get off and smaller size playing Defensive End is an absolute nightmare for offensive linemen, and Bolivar is making life difficult – especially in passing situations.
Florence Christian – ATH Juels Huntley Juels Huntley 5'9" | 170 lbs | ATH Florence Christian | 2024 State SC – 238 Rushing Yards, 4 Touchdowns, 2 Interceptions, Forced Fumble in victory – I crossed the border for Juels because his athleticism just jumped off the page when I was scrolling through Twitter and looking through various highlights. While Juels had some great numbers on the offensive side of the ball, he was just as impressive on defense with his 2 interceptions from the DB position. He is a one-cut-and-go runner, and it also shows his great reaction and change of direction as a DB on defense. As a prospect, Juels stands at 5’9 and 165 pounds in the 2024 class.
