TOP RECRUIT PERFORMERS
“Lyons was magnificient on Friday night. The senior recruit went 16-of-25 for 232 yards and three passing touchdowns while also having six carries for 26 yards and a touchdown. He looked very confident in his play behind center. He can throw on the run. He can escape the pocket and pick up yards with his feet if needed. He did really well throwing under pressure. His release is smooth and showed good accuracy on his throws.
“Davis” is defined as a “PLAYMAKER”. His athleticism stands out on film and in live action. He made plays on both sides of the ball. He ended the night with four catches for 106 yards and a pair of touchdowns while also returning an interception for another touchdown at defensive back. At wide receiver he ran excellent routs. He is always looking for the extra yards after the catch. He has loose hips which allow him him to turn quickly left or right. In open space, he can be dangerous making defenders miss by planting eithert foot and breaking away with his quickness. He has good game speed and plays with good awareness. Can stop on the dime and then excel to full speed quickly.
Devine Johnson Devine Johnson 6’0″ | 175 lbs | DB Franklin H.S Ma | 2023 New E has very good DB skills. He has good fluidity in the hips and ankles to open up the hips, change direction, and re-accelerate instantly. He is physical and can play press man coverage. His back pedal is smooth and he uses good technique when running with the defender to break up the pass. He has very good length that comes with swift hips. Aggressive tackler who will come up for run support when needed.
“Hunter” was caught our eyes on Friday night. His frame itself is lean and has length. He was lined up as a tIght-end and also used as a flexed TE. He has decent speed, good power, reliable hands and displayed a tough-nosed mentality and mean streak that allows him to be a complete blocker. He was observed exploding off the ball while moving his feet and attacking his defender out on the perimeter.
“Lackey” was a menace on defense on Friday. He loves to play and he plays very physical. Playing the edge, he did a great job. He holds his ground in the run and pass game and does not give up yardage by being driven off the ball. He can swat away the punch of an offensive lineman and use his hands to free himself from blockers in the run game. Has a bit of nastiness in him with a motor.
