Let’s take a look…
Ben Guthrie Ben Guthrie 6'1" | 175 lbs | QB Alpharetta | 2023 State GA – Alpharetta
The senior quarterback from Alpharetta is having an outstanding senior season so far for the Raiders and he had the game of his life this past weekend against Lassiter, leading his team to an impressive 7-21 victory. Guthrie gave a record-breaking performance in the win, throwing the ball all over the field and hitting different receivers all night long. The strong-armed quarterback was 21/30 this past weekend for 420 yards and seven touchdown passes in the win, giving one of the top quarterback performances of the weekend across Georgia. He’s consistently accurate, has a high football IQ, and has shown all season that he can take over games with his arm. He continues to improve week by week and making a strong case that he has the arm talent to play somewhere at the next level. Guthrie is now 117/196 for 2,034 yards and 28 touchdowns through his first seven games of the season.
Jack Stanton – Greater Atlanta Christian
He may not have thrown the ball a ton, but it’s hard to have had a more productive game if you’re Jack Stanton over the weekend. The Norcross native out of Greater Atlanta Christian was effective, accurate, and excellent in the red-zone, completing 14 of 19 passes for 258 yards and six touchdowns in 41-7 win over North Springs. He’s dependable, knows how to play the position, and consistently makes the right reads and correct throws. He stands firm in the pocket and knows how to deliver an accurate, catchable ball down the field. He reads the defense well, distributes the ball, and has quickly become one of the top QBs not only in the Norcross area, but across metro-Atlanta for the 2024 class. Look for him to have more giant games this season as a junior.
Caiden Tanner, QB, Union County
An under the radar junior quarterback in North Georgia, Tanner is coming off a breakout game over the weekend where he threw for 424 yards and four touchdowns while rushing for three more scores in 56-49 win over Providence Christian. He did everything asked of him on Friday night and made it look easy. He’s had an outstanding month of September, leading a Union County offense that as been tough to stop over the last several weeks. With Tanner running the offense, Union County scored 49 points against Towns County, 42 points against Armuchee, 48 points against West Hall, 42 points against Banks County, and of course 56 points last weekend against Providence Christian. He’s a true dual-threat quarterback who continues to play better and better each week. He’s a breakout quarterback to know about in 2A for the rest of the season.
Julian Lewis Julian Lewis 6'2" | 175 lbs | QB Carrollton | 2025 GA – Carrollton
Another week, another dominating performance by the superstar freshman out of Carrollton. One of the more productive quarterbacks across the state, Lewis is a fundamentally sound gunslinger with elite arm talent for his age. He puts on a show every Friday night and did it again last weekend, leading Carrollton to a big 42-12 win over Pebblebrook. The freshman phenom was an impressive 22 of 26 passing for 368 yards and five touchdowns in the win. He threw well on the run, made some plays outside of the pocket, and showed a strong, accurate arm all night long. He’s so advanced for his age and is out there playing like an experienced veteran. It’s easy to see his talent and he proved once again this weekend why he has easy 5-star potential and could be one of the nation’s top prospects in the 2026 class. So far this season, Lewis has thrown for 2,181 yards and 30 touchdowns, leading the Trojans to a perfect 8-0 record with just two games left in the regular season.
