As we head into the end of the regular season, it is time to look at a few seniors who have stood out as valuable prospects in one of the more under-recruited positions in the state, many of whom are without offers.
This article will look closely at six senior offensive linemen who deserve to be offered immediately.
Dadiotis is a sleeper interior lineman who dominates as a run blocker. He has superb strength that allows him to clear out defenders and open holes for inside runs. When pulling, his outstanding athleticism and speed help him get outside to seal the edge or lead up and engage defenders at the second and third levels. Dadiotis has a little buzz as a recruit and holds offers from Drake and Adams State, but his upside makes him a player worthy of receiving a handful more.
Clancy is a sleeper offensive guard who brings a tenacious playing style to the offensive front. He has a solid balance between his run and pass block skills, giving him a significant upside as a potential prospect. On run plays, he does a great job getting his hands on the defender and driving his feet to overpower his opponent. He keeps his feet moving in pass protection and engages rushers with well-placed strikes and overwhelming strength. Clancy received an offer from Colorado for rugby, which is a testament to his athleticism, but he is still awaiting his first offer to play football at the next level.
Lillie is an outstanding left tackle who has dramatically excelled in an offensive scheme that runs the Spread and the Double Wing. He has a quick first step when getting out of his stance for pass protection, and he quickly finds work if there is no five-technique or head-up rusher. His size, power, and advanced understanding of the game make him a dominant blocker in any scheme, solidifying his place among the top sleepers in the state. Lillie recently received his first offer from Chadron State, but expect more to come rolling in.
Nathan Geiger
Nathan Geiger
Geiger is a big tackle with a solid frame and excellent strength. He does a good job sealing the edge, forcing the rusher outside, and then using the power in his hands to get a pancake. His athleticism and speed can be seen when he pulls and clears a path for the ball carrier. Geiger recently earned an offer from Fort Lewis College, but the talented tackle is still flying under the radar.
Ty Barwind
Ty Barwind
Barwind is a talented offensive guard with a solid frame and great power. His physicality makes him a perfect fit for an offensive front, especially in the run game. He does a great job at splitting defenders when double-teaming a block, then moving to the second level to clear out a backer or safety. His ability to overpower his opponents makes him an excellent lead blocker. Barwind has a few D3 offers, but he is a perfect candidate to be a prime target for an in-state school.
Jimerson-Brown is an overlooked center who is having the best season of his high school career, showing that he would make a perfect addition to any D2 program. He is a big lineman with impressive quickness and immense power in his hands, making him an excellent blocker for the run and pass. His snaps are quick and accurate, as if they are more reflexive than contemplated, adding to the quickness of his first step. Jimerson-Brown has garnered some interest from college programs, but he is still waiting for his first official offer.
