There are some who haven’t been targeted much due to their resume. Nonetheless it has been a great season for the secondary players.
Patrick Broomfield, Clarksdale
Broomfield has shown exactly what a good corner is supposed to do. He doesn’t mind coming up making tackles as much as he loves having good coverage. He has even managed to take an interception to the house for a touchdown this year. His stock is going up and schools are taking interest. He is a playmaker and we will see him on the next level.
Kylan Egerson Kylan Egerson 5'10" | 165 lbs | DB Lafayette | 2023 State MS , Lafayette Co
Kylan Egerson Kylan Egerson 5'10" | 165 lbs | DB Lafayette | 2023 State MS isn’t the biggest guy on the field every Friday night, but he plays like it. He knows how to make a lot of interceptions and he also makes solid tackles. He has been adding in a touch of his game on the offensive side of the ball as well. Kylan is an all around playmaker that coaches love to see.
Christavious Savior Christavious Savior 6'0" | 160 lbs | DB Louisville | 2023 State MS , Louisville
Savior started the season doing very good and he has kept that up. Teams have gotten smarter and they are not punting to him anymore. Those punt returns he took back earlier this year have made teams not make too many bad throws to his side of the field as well. He has been a major part of their secondary having fourteen interceptions this season.
PJ Woodland, Oak Grove
This young man right here is an interception machine. I love the way he sits back and plays the free safety position. He is not the guy to mess around with during the game. He is a guy that knows how to play receiver so he does not drop interceptions. He is a threat to take the rock to the house once he picks it off. He has the type of film defensive back coaches love to watch.
Torrance Skidmore
Skidmore has stepped up big this season. He just recorded a one hundred and eight yard interception returned for a touchdown. That is the longest touchdown in his school’s history. This guy is a beast and he has the body to play power five football. Be sure to remember his name.
