Arthur Draeger
Arthur Draeger
Draeger is the leading rusher across the SJS section through the regular season and his team is set to make a deep playoff run for an undefeated Liberty Ranch squad who is in a loaded D5 bracket. Draeger has rushed for 1,773 yards while averaging 10 YPC and tacked on an impressive 28 TD’s. He is a no brainer next level player and should gather D-III+ interest this off-season.
Percoats has been dominating the central valley since his Sophomore season, and was very impressive at multiple camps this off-season, working out with both the receivers and running backs. Through ten weeks, he has rushed for 1,589 yards, averaging 8.5 YPC and 17 TD’s. He is a straight lined runner with elite open field speed and very tough to bring down in the short area with leg drive, contact balance and a physical running style for his size.
Highlights
The Air Force commit is one of the more punishing runners across the section and was entering the year coming off a solid Junior campaign. He is a tough and physical kid that should fit the Air Force system well at the fullback position in the triple option scheme. He has rushed for 1,517 yards and 24 TD’s while averaging 7 YPC on the season.
Highlights
Jacklich is one of the best two-way players in all of Northern California from his running back and outside linebacker position. Holding multiple college offers, he is a no brainer FCS+ caliber kid that should sign to a D-I school this Winter. He is a tough and physical runner that runs through contact and follows his blocks, while displaying open field speed/wiggle and can catch the ball out of the backfield as well. Running angry and with a low pad level/natural forward lean, he has amassed 1,400+ yards on the ground with 17 TD’s and averaging almost 10 YPC.
RB Jahkylle Smith, Golden Valley HS
Although a bit undersized, Smith is a very good back and one of the best across Central California in 2022. He has accumulated 1,564 yards on the ground with 9 YPC and 17 TD’s. He runs hard downhill, shows patience when running in-between the tackles and forces defenders to take bad angles in the open field with some third level speed.
RB Joe Cowan, Linden HS
Cowen has eclipsed the over 1,400 rushing yard marker this past week to go along with 14 TD’s and 6.6 YPC. Playing for a smaller school power, Cowan has proven that he can find success when playing bigger schools and has been the main reason for Linden’s pretty successful 6-4 record this season.
