Mr. Warren is a new name to me this fall season and is a dual-threat QB that can cause headaches for opposing defenses. Not only can he add a touch on level three throws on deep shots downfield when working in platform, he can also work on the move. Here, he keeps his eyes downfield to find his man downfield to keep the sticks moving. If you give this young man green grass in front of him he can pull the ball down to scramble and does a good job running the option with his foot quicks. This coincides with him running play action as it’s set up as a read option forcing defenders to bite down on the run and opening up a window for a quick shot for six. All in all, this young man will see himself added to our rankings once this season is concluded and watch out for him for the remainder of the season. Twitter
Michael Mclaughlin
Michael Mclaughlin
Mr. Mclaughlin has a good frame standing at 6’3 275 and does a good job of sustaining his blocks through the whistle. Once he latches on, he can keep his feet driving unit he puts the defender in the dirt. This is seen when he down blocks, pulling through B gap, and blocking in open space on screen plays. All of which he flashes his strong punch to jolt defenders upright at the point of attack. I’m interested to see how his pass protection fairs against the pass rush as there weren’t any clips in highlights below. Twitter
Mr. Cowan had an impressive season last fall on the defensive side of the ball. Segway to this fall, and he’s not only continuing the steps but also has used his talent to be dominant on offense as well. On defense, his ability to sit at the top of the route and break on the ball is one to keep an eye on as it results in INTs and PBUs. He can also get involved in run support to secure open-field tackles. On offense, his foot quicks are on full display as he can get vertical quickly once securing the catch breaking long runs in the process. Talk about an overall playmaker. Now, playing in smaller-level football down south, these players get overlooked at times. Mr. Cowan is a top defensive back for the class of 23′ Illinois has to offer and one that deserves more looks. Twitter

Mr. Ngassa is a new name to me that has limited film. But, in this limited film, he flashes his ability to go up for 50/50 balls to secure contested catches. He does so with his long reach by fully extending. This young man also has potential as a defensive end as well. There’s not a ton of film on him this season but is a young man I’m going to be interested to see more of as the season transpires.

Continuing the trend of new names, Mr. Tongo is the next man up. This young man can line up in the backfield and in the slot on offense. Once the ball is in his hands, he uses his foot quicks to gain a step on 2nd level defenders to break long runs in the process. What stands out the most is how he can secure a receiver screen and get vertical quickly to take it the distance for six in an instance. On defense, he uses his foot quicks to close quickly on ball carriers and isn’t afraid to lower his shoulder to deliver the heavy hit. All in all, this is a young man that you can put in a variety of positions and he’ll excel. Twitter
