Every week we take a look at several teams and players that had impressive showings in week six. The playoffs are approaching, and teams are starting to battle for playoff positioning. Here are the teams and prospects that were impressive during week six.
Bryant Hornets
The Bryant Hornets have built a dynasty in the state of Arkansas over the past few years. Bryant uses a talented defense to stifle out opponents’ offenses. Meanwhile, the Bryant offense does an excellent job of mixing the run with the pass and keeping opposing defenses off-balance. On Friday night, the Hornets defeated Little Rock Central 42-0. In the process, Bryant put that impressive defense on display against Central. Let’s take a look at a few Bryant prospects to keep an eye to close out the 2022 football season.
Jordan Walker Jordan Walker 6'1" | 205 lbs | QB Bryant | 2025 State AR -Quarterback-Bryant-2025
Jordan Walker Jordan Walker 6'1" | 205 lbs | QB Bryant | 2025 State AR has always had tremendous pocket awareness, however, this season he has improved that trait even more. Walker does an excellent job of keeping his eyes down the field and throwing to his wide receivers. The Bryant signal caller is a threat both throwing as well as running the football. He knows when to take off with the ball and use his legs to pick up yardage. With two more seasons to play, Walker is only going to get better. Keep an eye on the Bryant signal caller over the next few seasons.
Mytorian Singleton Mytorian Singleton 6'0" | 180 lbs | WR Bryant | 2024 State AR -Wide Receiver-Bryant-2024
Mytorian Singleton Mytorian Singleton 6'0" | 180 lbs | WR Bryant | 2024 State AR is a prospect that the Bryant coaching staff can line up all over the field. He has tremendous versatility and is a receiver that can stretch the field for the Hornets. The Bryant coaching staff does a good job of using Singleton to stretch the field deep. He uses his speed well and knows when to adjust his route to help get open for the quarterback. Singleton is another prospect to watch over the next year. He has the potential to play on Saturdays in the future.
Joe T. Robinson
The Joe T. Robinson Senators have a talented group that could make a deep playoff run this season. With a 5-1 record on the season, the Senators are getting hot at the right time of the season. The Senators have been clicking on all cylinders since a tough loss to Pulaski Academy at the beginning of the season. Joe T. Robinson will play host to Beebe this Friday. With the season winding down look for Joe T. Robinson to continue to cement a hold on a playoff spot.
Noah Freeman Noah Freeman 5'7" | 185 lbs | RB Joe T. Robinson | 2023 State AR -Running Back-Joe T. Robinson-2023
Noah Freeman Noah Freeman 5'7" | 185 lbs | RB Joe T. Robinson | 2023 State AR shows up every Friday night ready to put up big numbers for the Senators. He has tremendous speed and can make quality defenders look silly when he gets into the open field. Freeman is averaging 157 yards per game and is looking to continue to build on a strong season this week against Beebe. College scouts should take a long look at Freeman. He does everything ask of him including blocking for his teammates and catching the ball out of the backfield. Look for a strong close to the season for Freeman.
Brandon Greil Brandon Greil 6'0" | 165 lbs | WR Joe T. Robinson | 2023 State AR -Athlete-Joe T. Robinson-2023
Brandon Greil Brandon Greil 6'0" | 165 lbs | WR Joe T. Robinson | 2023 State AR is another Joe T. Robinson prospect that is having a tremendous senior season. He works well in the secondary and can terrorize opposing wide receivers with speed and coverage skills. However, Greil has displayed this season that he can line up at wide receiver and make plays on the offensive side of the ball. The future Arkansas State Red Wolf is a playmaker and will be interesting to watch him as the playoffs approach.
