Gibson is one of the more complete backs in the state and is able to do just about everything you need a back to do. So far this season, all that summer training is paying off. Gibson looks much more decisive with his cuts and where he wants to go. He’s running through more arm tackles than ever before. He’s running physically and is finishing runs while dealing the hits back. He’s good out of the backfield and could be trusted in pass protection down the road. He’s a physical back who also has really good speed. When he’s got the ball in his hands, he’s a genuine threat to score. He’s got fantastic vision and isn’t afraid to go against the grain with the ball in his hands. Gibson is someone I got to see live this summer and was impressed with how he prepares and works. It’s more than paying off to this point and wherever he ends up, they’re going to get a good one.
Langdon Holbrook Langdon Holbrook 5'8" | 180 lbs | ATH Scottsburg | 2024 State IN – Scottsburg – WR/CB – 5’8″ 180lbs – 2024
Holbrooks is one of the hardest-working dudes in the state. He’s a blue-collar player who is going to grind, do the grit behind the scenes, and let it translate to the field naturally. He’s coachable and wants to learn. He’s fantastic in the slot and isn’t afraid of contact. He’s a shifty WR who can come in and out of breaks rather quickly. He’s not afraid to lurk over the middle and can take a hit. He’s fantastic after the catch and his YAC is always going up. He’s hard to bring down because of how shifty and good he is in space. When he gets into the open field, he’s going to hit paydirt. At CB, he’s not bad. He’s able to run with any WR he’s going against and has good ball skills so he’s able to time it and either break the ball up or bring it down for the pick. Holbrook has a good head on his shoulders and is getting better week after week. When he graduates, he could be one of the more sought-after slot WRs in the area, as he should be.
Jude McCoskey Jude McCoskey 6'8" | 270 lbs | OL Terre Haute South Vigo | 2023 State IN – South Vigo – OT – 6’7″ 260lbs – 2023
McCoskey is a fun hidden gem who is starting to ball out and you can see it. McCoskey has the frame every OT dreams of. He’s got fantastic length, long arms, and is light on his feet for his size. He’s off the ball rather quickly and is able to go on the move. He’s quick enough to get out there and downfield for screens as well. He’s not afraid to hit or be hit in the trenches. While he’s not there yet, he’s got the potential to be a people mover. As of now, he’s a bit light and needs some development in the weight room, but the potential is obvious. He’s naturally strong, knows how to set his feet, and is able to stand his own against any 1 on 1. As he develops physically and mechanically, he feels like someone who could really begin to blow up and develop into a star. McCoskey can set his feet and won’t get caught with his hands on the outside. His upside is insane and he’s starting to play out of his mind. Good things are on the way for McCoskey and wherever he ends up at the next level.
Joliba Brogan – Mt. Vernon – RB – 5’7″ 160lbs – 2025
Brogan is a really good and twitchy athlete who is just starting to get his feet under him, but the potential and upside are obvious. The amount of raw ability in this dude is insane. He’s got incredibly quick feet and is able to get to the next gap as fast as anyone in the state. Brogan is very fast and shifty. He’s able to make guys miss like the best of them. He’s not the most physical back, but he could develop there as he hits the weight room. Brogan is willing to be patient and let the blocks in front of him develop and then there are other times he’ll hit the gas immediately and get downhill. He’s got fantastic vision and is able to make the jump cuts needed to get to those holes. He’s got fantastic speed and when he hits the open field, he’s going to score. There’s a lot to like with Brogan and what he is now and what he could be by the time he graduates.
Brock Riddle – Greenwood – QB – 6’3″ 165lbs – 2024
Riddle is a big-body QB who can do everything you want your QB to do. He’s able to stand in the pocket and take a shot as he’s delivering the ball. He’s able to step up and run or extend the play and make something happen. He’s not the best runner, but he’s good enough to keep you honest and will pull it and rip off 10-yards if the defense falls asleep. He’s decisive and knows where he wants to go with the ball. There are times this can get him in trouble if he doesn’t come off the read, but it’s a minor thing that can be cleaned up. Mechanically, he’s improved every year to this point and looks to have taken another jump from last year. Riddle has the arm strength to put some heat on the ball or drop it over the top down the field. He’s big, he’s tough, physical, can run, and has pretty decent arm strength. There’s a lot about Riddle that points to him having the potential to develop into a baller at the next level. Keep an eye on him over the next 2 years to see what he does with those tools and where he ends up.
