Jamieson Hodlin Jamieson Hodlin 6’3″ | 230 lbs | ATH Scituate (MA) | 2023 State New E is positioned as a TE and DE for his team. He has very good athleticism and will likely see himself being recruited in both positions he currently plays. He is a flexible athlete with a motor. At TE he can block well and his hands are very reliable. He can stick his foot in the ground and run that in, or run that curl, or hook, or the different routes. On Defense he can set the edge and also be a vicious pass rusher. He has very good feet. He is physical and aggressive. He currently has offer from Bryant and opportunities for support with Trinity and WPI. He will likely see more college attention before signing day.
Jackson Duncan Jackson Duncan 6’0″ | DL Wilton | 2023 State New E plays with good pad level. He has good hip unlock with hand extension to read and react to ball carrier. Has quickness and can identify blocks. Good balance, body control and flexibility is seen in his skill set. Initial burst is visible. He can provide a pass rush and get tackles for losses. He has offers of support from schools such as Carlton College, Grinnell College, Washington and Lee University and Middlebury College with more interest likely to come after the season.
Michael Keeler Michael Keeler 6’4″ | DL Torrington | 2023 State New E is a DE who has good instincts and gives great effort with the pass rush. Unfortunately he has suffered a broken fibula and a torn ligament in his ankle and will be sidelined for the rest of the season. He did get a few games under his belt before injury. His frame is large and he has good length in his arms to keep blockers from engaging. He shows strength and quickness at the point of attack. Uses a bit of a wrap and roll technique when making tackles.
“ Mack McManus Mack McManus 6’3″ | 195 lbs | QB Weston | 2023 State New E is 6’3 195lbs QB. Shows very good command presence in the pocket. Has pocket awareness with mobility. Has good upeer body with quick release and ability to change arm angles.
What we learned: Mack is currently captain and quarterback of the Weston High School (WHS) football team (as well as captain of the WHS Boys Lacrosse team) and plays for the Legacy 7v7 travel team. Throughout his football career, he has had many successes and accolades, including being named the MVP for the 2021 season as well as a DCL All-Star, being featured in Boston Globe weekly highlight plays, being part of the Legacy 7v7 Champions, and holding 2020’s High School Longest Pass for 60+ yards. He hopes to play football in college and continue to excel both on and off the field.
Highlights
Colton Wells Colton Wells 6’2″ | 280 lbs | OL Quabbin Regional | 2023 State New E is a 6’2″ Offensive lineman who plays with a bit of meanness and nastiness. He also plays defensive line. On offense, when he pulls, he is seen giving pancake blocks in open field. Shows good toughness with strength. He consistently holds his blocks until the whistle. On defense, he does really well with controlling his gap. He knocks offensive lineman back on intial contact. Makes great use of his hands while using different techniques to get off blocks. His college interest will likely increase after the season.
