The Playoffs are HERE. It has been a fun season of break-out stars and players who are looking to be the very best, and for some their season is over, for others it is just starting. Let's look at some players who I am looking to see have some big games as the playoffs kick into gear and

[player_tooltip player_id='56580' first='Bennett' last='Dannenbring'] - QB, O'Gorman

Dannenbring has been leading the Knights with his passing attack and ability to escape the pocket all year, and with their upcoming game, I do not expect that to change in any way. Dannenbring has been in many of my writings and for great reason, he is a hyper-talented dual-threat QB with a rocket arm and the ability to move fast. I think he matches up well with the team he is facing in Rapid City Stevens for a few reasons, one being that he can read them well. Stevens likes to get to the QB early and make them feel the pressure to make them throw, this is no issue for Dannenbring as he can zip and zap around to find an open receiver even when a play breaks down. His ability to be a playmaker and create something out of nothing cannot be understated and it takes away one of the main strengths that the defense he will be facing has. He has played them before and has experience going against Stevens, allowing us to know what we will be happening in terms of defensive packages and reading the line. Overall, Dannenbring will be looking to have one of his big games passing and rushing he is known to have, and as a whole, I think we will see a great performance from him this week.

[player_tooltip player_id='174189' first='Tate' last='Schafer'] - QB, Sioux Falls Lincoln

Schafer has been overshadowed by some of the other talents that South Dakota has, but he is up there with some of the Top QBs, which he has shown throughout the season. They will not have anything easy with their tough foe in the Brandon Valley Defense who can stifle QBs and shut down offenses at times but Schafer has the ability to take over games at times. We have seen this entire that Schafer has a rocket arm on him and can link up downfield with his talented wideouts. What I like most about Schafer is how he plays a team style of football, he likes to make sure everyone on the field gets the ball and this allows for a defense to not get a rhythm as the Lincoln offense can switch up the game plane and force them to adapt on the fly. Schafer thrives off this since he can make his own strategies and make big plays to set his team up for the win. Schafer has the clutch gene in him and I fully expect him to be playing great as the playoffs go, I am looking forward to seeing what he can do when the lights are on him.

[player_tooltip player_id='89287' first='Jaxton' last='Eck'] - LB, Brookings

Eck has been arguably the best linebacker that South Dakota has this year and I do not see that changing as we go into the playoffs, where his team in Brookings is going to look to him to lead their defense. Brookings this entire year has been mostly a team that has been seen as a defensively strong team that plays a hard-nosed style of football and can lay the boom down. They truly excel in the areas of stopping the run at all costs and rushing the passer at a high level, a big reason for that is what Eck does on the field. Eck can be a game-changer at pretty much every single moment that he is on the field for the speed and strength he shows on every single play that shifts momentum rapidly to cause a team to swing in favor of being the one to win. Eck has been the MVP of his team this year and that will be no different as the biggest of stakes are on the line to keep his team alive and have the playoff hopes stay alive too. Look for Eck to be a game-changer every time he gets the chance, to either force a fumble, get a pick, or something of the sort, he will have a great impact on his game.

[player_tooltip player_id='205259' first='Abraham' last='Myers'] - DL, Sioux Falls Washington

Myers solidified himself as the top DLineman as the season ended and with his team's season has been on the rocks the entire year, he will look to make one last run with his team. He is simply put the heart and soul of his team's defensive effort, they look to him as not only their best player but also the leader they look to big stops and lead them on the field. Sioux Falls Washington has had a rough year but they really started to come together in one area, that being their defense which has formed into a truly lethal unit that is able to stop even the toughest of targets. Myers has been the guy his defense has sought to step and makes the big plays for them and with this being the playoffs I see that this will be business as usual, and look for him to disrupt offenses and have them focus all of him. Overall, Sioux Falls Washington's defense has really come into its own and Myers is a big part of that, look for him to be the MVP for his team these playoffs.
