S Cam’Ren-Chance Brooks – 6’1″ 175 / Class of ’25
Already holding offers from UNLV and Colorado State, Brooks is a fun safety to watch on Friday nights. Reads quarterbacks like a book and recognizes routes with ease. Will be working his way into P5 conversations as his junior season gets underway in 2023.
Hybrid LB/SS Tavin Lewis – 5’11” 195 / Class of ’23
Junior Season: 127 tackles and 6 sacks
Lewis is precisely the type of hybrid ‘backer every team needs in the modern age of football. He flies downfield against the run like a heat-sinking missile, can slide over and cover the slot, and man up versus running backs out of the backfield. Lit up the stat sheet as a junior, and has only gotten better this season. More offers should start flowing in soon.
QB Chaston Ditta – 6’0″ 180 / Class of ’25
Ditta is going to be exciting in the years to come for the Cavaliers. He puts spying linebackers on roller skates when he decides to run with it and shows very nice arm strength and touch on deep balls. He will continue to develop as a passer this offseason, and by the time Week 1 rolls around in the Fall ’23, he will be one to watch.
Currently has an offer from UNLV.
OL Grey Sofia – 6’3″ 265 / Class of ’23
Sofia is a blue collar, versatile offensive lineman that can play either guard or tackle. He’s quick-footed; loves to get out in space and work his way to the second level. He fires off the ball and gets a nice push in the ground game. Not very much film of him pass setting. Might not get a whole lot of Division 1 attention due to his size, but has the chance to develop into a star on the D2 level.
Currently has one Division 2 offer from Colorado School of Mines.
DT Griffen Willis – 6’2″ 275 / Class of ’23
Senior Season (thru 5 games): 26 tackles, 2 TFL, 2 QB Hurries, 1 sack, 1 forced fumble
Willis is a relentless interior pass rusher who is also stout against the run. He has a wicked first step, keeps his pads low, and uses his hands effectively to blow by guards. Does a really nice job with backside pursuit and has a motor that never stops. Surefire FCS-caliber player who should see his stock continue to rise over the remaining weeks of the season.
Currently has an FCS offer from Murray State.
