Our first game was between Gretna and Papillion La Vista South. Gretna started the game quick going up 27-6 by half time. Papio South would catch up making it 27-20 during the 3rd but Gretna would score by the end of the 3rd quarter and once again in the 4th. The Dragons would take the victory and win 41-27. If you would like some more detail on this game check out my game report on it. Our second game was between Adams Central and Aurora. Both teams looked to stay undefeated and the Huskies wanted to defend their home territory. What happened was something no body could predict. The Huskies dominated the Patriots. Aurora went 3 quarters without allowing a single point before the Patriots score their only touchdown. Aurora won 41-7. The last game was between Kearney and Omaha Westside. This week was a week of high scores Westside would dominate on the ground and their defense would not let up. The Warriors would go up 21-7 at half, the Warriors wouldn’t let up and they would win 42-14.
Grand Island Vs Omaha North
This game will be huge when it comes to playoff hopes across the state. Grand Island wants a great district record so that they can get a good spot in the playoffs. Omaha North has so far been able to dominate and are on the road to making the playoffs. The Vikings have shut out their last three opponents 146-0. On the season this year the Vikings have completed 74 passes for a total of 1226 yards and 15 touchdowns. They have been great on the ground as well running the ball 212 times for 1,483 yards on the ground and 25 touchdowns. The Vikings defense had held strong will 11 sacks 6 interceptions and 8 fumble recoveries. Grand Island has had a pretty good season too defeating an undefeated rival in Kearney a few weeks back and winning a bunch of close games around them. On the season they have had 58 completions go for 638 yards and 3 touchdowns. On the ground they have done amazing having 246 carries for 1,659 total yards and 16 touchdowns. On the Islanders defense they have 6 sacks 4 interceptions and 5 fumble recoveries.

Pierce Vs Boone Central
Pierce has ran over every team they have played this season. They are not only undefeated but they have scored over 40 points in every game except one. 5 of their 7 wins the Blue Jays have scored more than 50 points. Pierce had 61 completions for 1,305 yards and 24 touchdowns. On the ground the Bluejays have ran the ball 272 times for 2,494 yards and 29 touchdowns. The Bluejays have dominated on defense with 14 sacks, 6 interceptions, and 3 fumble recoveries. Boone Central has had a very successful 6-1 season. They have also taken care of most of their opponents only falling in week 2 to the dominate Aurora Huskies. On the season Boone Central had 64 completions for 906 yards and 10 touchdowns. On the ground they have ran the ball 207 times for 1,215 yards and 21 total touchdowns. Both teams are going to have a game. Boone Central has had 15 sacks 7 touchdowns and 6 recoveries.

Seward Vs Waverly
Our second Bluejays of the week are from a half hour west of Lincoln in Seward. The Seward Bluejays will be in Waverly to take on the Vikings. The Bluejays have had a decent year they have suffered some close losses this season but their wins have been phenomenal they have score at least 20 points in every game in every game that they won. Waverly has also had a strong season losing only two really close matchups. In their wins they have score 4 or more touchdowns and have held their opponents to only 36 points when they win. Waverly has 97 completions for 1,084 total yards for 7 touchdowns. on the ground they have had 228 rushes for 1,190 yards for 19 touchdowns. On defense the vikings have recorded about 5 interceptions this season.
