These guys were who I thought had a great game last Friday and I think they deserve a lot of praise for how good of a game they played. Especially both defenses. Even though it was a 22 point game there were many points in the game where Gretna’s defense kept Lincoln East from scoring. Along with that Lincoln East held one of the best offenses in the State to two scores in the first half and the second. Gretna had scored 72 points the week before against Omaha South. Along with that I was impressed by how locked down the Spartan Defensive line was on Flores forcing him out of the pocket and not giving him much time to throw. Will Potratz Will Potratz 5'8" | 155 lbs | ATH Lincoln East | 2023 State NE played strong for the Spartans avoiding blocks and immediately getting to the ball. Caden Cetak Caden Cetak 6'4" | 220 lbs | DL Lincoln East | 2024 State NE was dominate getting a sack at the beginning of the game and continuing to keep Flores and the Dragon’s O line on edge for the rest of the game. Sam Cappos Sam Cappos 6'1" | 240 lbs | DL Lincoln East | 2023 State NE was right there with him punching holes through the O line making a run game difficult for the Dragons and even forcing a fumble to give their offense a chance to come back. On the other side Gretna was able to contain the pass attack and limit the throws to Malachi Coleman Malachi Coleman 6'5" | 195 lbs | WR Lincoln East | 2023 State NE . The Dragons had an unstoppable defense. Korver Demma Korver Demma 6'3" | 230 lbs | DL Gretna | 2023 State NE would be one of the dominant players for the Dragons having 3 total sacks and his interception and his touchdown. Another standout on defense for Gretna was Ethan Stuhr Ethan Stuhr 6'2" | 200 lbs | LB Gretna | 2023 State NE who had 9 tackles he followed the offense move for move shifting from blitz and coverages then to going and getting the ball.
