Athletes in the class of 2028 are just beginning their seventh-grade this school year. However, there are at least 20 prospects in this class that already have verbal scholarship offers. Furthermore, there are hundreds of athletes in this class that nobody has even heard of yet, that WILL be scholarship players down the line. Here’s a look at some to take note of, very early.
-Top player on the Pulaski Academy seventh-grade team, which is the feeder program for the Pulaski Academy, currently ranked the No.1 high school team in Arkansas
-Versatile athlete moved around in various sets. This year alone has played Wide Receiver, Running Back and Wildcat Quarterback
-Speedster that gets to the edge with relative ease and wins the foot race in open field every time
Highlights
-Long-limbed athlete that can effect the game in all three phases and has helped Peachtree Ridge to a 6-1 record on the season, heading into the final regular season game of the season
-As good as he is in football, is even more impressive in Track and Field. This past summer, was a member of the national record-setting 4x100M squad (47.17) and placed 5th at the Adidas Middle School Indoor National Meet, as the youngest athlete in the race, racing against eighth-graders
-Has been excelling athletically for several years and was named a 2019 finalist for Sports Illustrated’s SportsKid of the Year
-Strong, physically advanced and well-put together athlete that is equal parts speed/finesse & ground and pound
-Son of Corey Taylor who formerly played six years in a combination of NFL Europe and the Arena Football League. Currently runs an NFL Combine Prep program
-Plays on a very talented St. Mary’s Catholic team out of Louisville, Kentucky during the regular tackle season. Plays 7-on-7 with Indy Select during the spring.
-Big kid out of New Jersey who plays for the Brick City Lions, a program that almost annually reaches the AYF National Championship Week
-Versatile big man that is big and athletic enough to play essentially anywhere on the Offensive Line. Played a lot of this year at Right Tackle is a nice chess piece to help with matchups
-A naturally strong seventh-grader with strong hands that excels in run blocking, above all else. Should have his pick of top private high schools in New Jersey and New York City, when the time comes
-High-cut and long-legged Running Back/Defensive Back combo out of North Carolina, with a lot to be excited about on the offensive side of the ball
-One of the better receiving Running Backs I’ve seen to this point in the class of 2028. Can catch and run to create plays at a high level
-Has good size right now at 5-foot-8 and 130-pounds. A long-strider who picks up speed as he runs in open field. Additional quick-twitch and acceleration should come with growth
Highlights
-An absolute menace in the red zone due to the mismatches he creates on the outside, standing 5-foot-11 and 140-pounds.
-Is the favorite target of teammate and fellow 2028 prospect CJ Smith CJ Smith 6’0″ | 160 lbs | QB TX . The duo is the catalyst for a Lovejoy team that won the state tile at the Texas Youth State 7v7 Championships last summer
-Has unassuming elusiveness and straight line speed when running after the catch. Length and speed are genetic plusses for Reaugh, as his older sister Mia currently holds three Lovejoy High School Track and Field records
-A physically impressive kid that immediately passes the eye test. Already stands 6-foot-1 and 195-pounds playing 12U ball in just the seventh-grade
-The Virginia native has goals of continuing play at a high level and hopes to play at DeMatha Catholic when his time comes to select a high school
-Has all the physical tools at this point to become a dominant Defensive End/Edge prospect down the line. Length, quickness and a motor that allows for him to chase down plays going away from him, make Williams pretty special right now
