1. Tayshaun Balmir- Pasco High c/o 23
5’9 180lbs
Balmir is having the best season in Pasco High history breaking the single season rushing record. He’s spearheaded a dominant rushing attack that’s helped the Pirates to a 7-1 record and in the driver seat for the playoffs. His speed, acceleration, and physicality has him currently leading the State of Florida with 1,665 yards rushing, 20 touchdowns, averaging over 11 yards per carry, and averaging 208 yd rushing per game. He also has two catches for 21 yards.
2. Jason Patterson Jason Patterson 5'11" | 200 lbs | RB Sneads | 2024 State FL – Sneads High c/o 24
6’0 205lbs
Patterson has been in the top five pretty much the entire season. He’s right on the heels of Balmir and has rushed for 1,632 yd, 25 touchdowns rushing, averaging an outstanding 13 yards per carry, while averaging 204 yards rushing per game. He also has three catches for 31 yards for the undefeated Pirates. He’s a high-profile Junior prospect that has several D1 offers. Sneads High will be tough to beat in the playoffs with Patterson in the backfield.
3. Malachi Hawkins- Marathon High c/o 23
6’1 210lbs
Hawkins has jumped into the top three through eight weeks with several dominating rushing performances. He’s helped the Dolphins to a 5-3 record and is currently third in the state with 1,582 yards rushing, averaging 10 yards per carry with 17 touchdowns and averaging 198 yards rushing per game. Hawkins possesses outstanding physicality and the ability to run through tacklers, has very good contact balance, and is extremely versatile and can play on either side of the ball at the next level.
4. Dante Johnson-Turner- Mount Dora High c/o 23
5’7 184lbs
Johnson-Turner has entered the top five since the last time I did this in week 4. He’s currently sitting at number four and has been a dominating presence for the 6-2 Hurricanes. Through 8 games he rushed for 1,526 yards, averaging 8 yd per carry with 23 rushing touchdowns and averaging 191 yards per game. He’s also rushed for over 100 yards in every game this season. He’s also got three catches for 85 yards and a touchdown reception. Turner shows good burst, vision, and possesses the speed to be a home run hitter in the open field. He picked up his first offer from Graceland University this month.
5. Marcus McCrimmon- Central Florida Christian Academy c/o 23
5’10 180lbs
McCrimmon has broken into the top five and currently has Central Florida Christian Academy sitting at 7-0 and in the driver seat for a deep playoff run. He’s been outstanding this season rushing for 1,498 yards, averaging 11 yards per carry with 19 rushing touchdowns and is averaging $214 yards rushing per game. He has six 100 yard rushing games on the season. He’s a back that has good start/stop ability, possesses the lateral agility to changing directions quickly, good vision, and the ability to stay on his feet after contact.
