Nic Steffierair || QB || 6’2 || 195 || Pleasant Grove || 2023
Steffierair has been sensational all year, which continued in round one vs. Cyprus. The Vikings quarterback threw for 425 yards and six touchdowns as he diced up the Pirates all game long. Steffierair’s downfield accuracy is remarkable, and he has a cannon of an arm. He also impresses in the red zone with elite ball placement that only gives his receivers a chance to haul it in. Steffierair puts great zip on his passes and can make throws on the move. His presence in the pocket is exceptional, and he continues to shine in a state loaded with talented signal callers.
Easton Hicks Easton Hicks 5'11" | 180 lbs | ATH Riverton | 2024 State UT || RB || 5’11 || 175 || RIverton High School || 2024
Hicks was electric in Riverton’s first-round matchup vs. Kearns. He blasted through the Cougar’s defense, scoring two long touchdowns in the playoff-opening win. Hicks has great vision he uses to navigate through the hole and bounces runs to the outside. He has quick feet that allow him to make great cuts and evade tackles. Hicks rarely goes down on first contact and has some of the best breakaway speed in the state. The Silverwolve’s back has made some big plays this year and could be in for a few more this season.
Crew McChesney Crew McChesney 5'10" | 170 lbs | WR Lone Peak | 2023 State UT || WR || 5’11 || 180 || Lone Peak High School || 2023
McChesney dominated the Cooper Hills Grizzlies and did it on just four catches. But he averaged 35 yards per catch for a total of 140 yards and a touchdown. That lone score was done, so on an 80-yard screen pass, he took to the house showing off his elite speed as he exploded past the Grizzlies’ defense for the long score. McChesney is an incredible athlete who can go up and get balls and create separation. The 5’11 receiver could help the Knights make another deep playoff run.
Aidan Carter || QB || 6’4 || 225 || Weber High School || 2023
Weber had one of the biggest wins of a round in their upset against Roy, and it wouldn’t have been possible without the play of Cater. The 6’4 Warrior threw for over 215 yards and three touchdowns as he diced up the Lion’s defense. Carter is patient in the pocket and does a great job moving through his progressions. He takes what the defense gives him and has strong accuracy outside the numbers. Carter is also an exceptional passer over the middle and an outstanding leader at the quarterback position.
