Kenny Smith ATH, Hammonton 2023
By far the most dynamic player on the field Kenny Smith made plays every time he touched the ball. He has excellent burst when hitting holes as a running back, and is very instinctual. He has incredible speed and possesses a level of dynamism that can change games.
His best play of the game was a play he made in coverage as a safety. Where the tightened gained some separation on him on a route downfield. Smith showed some of his recovery speed and caught up to the play to force an incompletion. That would’ve, certainly led to a touchdown. Smith had the most impressive performance in the game albeit in a loss.
Kye Pressley Kye Pressley 6'2" | 205 lbs | DL Hammonton | 2023 State NJ Edge, Hammonton 2023
Highlights
The top-ranked recruit in this game really didn’t get to see much action. As Delsea ran away from him most of the time and put him in conflict on one play where they ran an effective pitch option. Regardless, of limited action, he did flash some of that high pass-rush potential that makes him PRZ’s second-ranked edge rusher.
John Smith Edge/TE, Hammonton 2024
Smith makes this list because he flashed high-end potential. The younger brother of Kye Pressley Kye Pressley 6'2" | 205 lbs | DL Hammonton | 2023 State NJ has an athletic build with a tall long frame built for rushing the passer or catching touchdowns. Would love to see him be utilized full-time at tight end to utilize that frame where he could add more to be an effective blocker. Look for him to be an underrated recruiting name this upcoming summer.
Jared Schoppe Jared Schoppe LB Delsea | 2023 NJ HB, Delsea 2023
Schoppe is the bell cow for this team touching the ball early often. He had many key first downs and the opposing defense had issues tackling him all night due to his thick frame and physical running style. Schoppe’s performance spearheaded this win.
Wayne Adair Wayne Adair 6'0" | 195 lbs | RB Delsea | 2024 State NJ ATH, Delsea 2024
This young man can get upfield in a hurry and has sneaky speed. Destroying Hammonton all night on outside runs Adair put up a solid performance in an almost unstoppable rushing performance by Delsea. Adair also made plays as a punt returner giving Delsea a balanced rushing attack in terms of how many players they have that can attack you in the running game.
Zach Maxwell QB, Delsea 2024
Maxwell plays with a poise that allows the team to execute at a high level. He played mistake-free and was a rushing threat on the ground. With how much they run the ball they didn’t ask him to throw much, but when he did he was effective. Tossing a touchdown pass to Luke Maxwell right before the half ended. Zach Maxwell executed Delsea”s offense and kept them on schedule, allowing them to stay ahead of the chains, and ultimately, get the win.
Luke Maxwell HB, Delsea 2023
Very impressed with Maxwell’s hands in this game. He did a little bit of everything in terms of blocking, running, and catching. A very versatile player who does whatever it takes to win. Maxwell did a lot of the dirty work in this game and saw the fruits of his labor by getting a touchdown reception before the half.
