Lehi Pioneers
The Pioneers and Timpview Thunderbirds faced off in a battle between our top two teams in 5A. The game lived up to the hype, with the two high-profile programs trading big plays and points all game long. The Thunderbirds would score with just over five minutes left to take a 24-21 lead. Lehi needed some clutch plays to get a win, and they got them from their quarterback Jaxson Brousseau. The talented single-caller drove them down the field and delivered the game-winning touchdown pass. The Pioneers moved to 9-0 after the thrilling 28-24 victory.
Box Elder Bees
The Bees took on the Bonneville Lakers in a matchup between two Region five teams who have appeared in our top 10. With both teams coming off tough losses in two of the last three weeks, the Bees and Lakers were desperate for a win. The Lakers jumped out to an 8-0 lead after the first quarter, but from there on out, the Bees swarmed Bonneville. Box Elder would score 37 unanswered points for the dominant win. Bees quarterback Ryan Griffen led an aggressive and effective Box Elder offensive attack that helped his team reach six wins.
Provo Bulldogs
The Bulldogs took on the Wasatch Wasps and their explosive offense last Friday night. The Wasps have only been held under 15 points once on the season, but Provo was outstanding on the defensive side of the ball. Wasatch scored 13 points in the game and was shut out in the second half. Linebacker Hutch Fale and defensive back Moses Vaenuku combined for 30 tackles as the Bulldogs improved to 6-3 after the 42-13 win.
Park City Miners
Coming off a tough loss to Brighton, the Miners had to refocus and take on the pesky Skyline Eagles. However, the Miners were able to claim the win with a balanced offensive attack in which they scored one touchdown in each quarter. Park City quarterback Chase Beyer Chase Beyer 5'10" | 175 lbs | QB Park City | 2023 State UT ran in three touchdowns as the Miners won 28-15 and moved to 7-2 on the season.
