4A Midseason Team Review: Arkadelphia Badgers

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Arkadelphia Badgers are sitting at the number one spot in the 4A division in Arkansas. The Badgers are one of the more dominating teams in the division and arguably in the state, as far as effort and sheer strength goes. The Badgers are currently sitting at 5-0 overall this season with a conference record of 2-0. The Badgers are dominate on both sides of the ball while being lead by some key players so far this season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>On the offensive side of the ball, the leader of the offense, [player_tooltip player_id='75141' first='Donovan' last='Whitten'] has been one of the key players so far this season. Whitten is a senior this season and I believe he's looking to make his mark on the Badger offense, and he has done so. Donovan is one of the better quarterbacks on film that I've viewed so far this season and has the ability to perform at the level he needs to. He has great pocket awareness to get outside of the pocket, but, also the ability to lay the ball in the hands of his receivers. He does have good arm strength and speed to back up his game so far this season and I look for this Fridays game for him to do what he's done all season long and that is dominate the air attack.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>In the trenches you have a couple of guys that are able to either make plays or open up gaps for the back to run. On the defensive side of the trenches, at defensive end, there's [player_tooltip player_id='173557' first='Max' last='Wilson']. Wilson is a fast, quick and strong play maker that likes to add some finesse with his hands off of the ball. On offense line, who I think is one of the better lineman on the Badgers team, [player_tooltip player_id='233255' first='Nigel' last='Robinson']. Robinson is a strong kid with some speed off the ball and really good hands. Robinson is primarily at right tackle. Nigel is a great player overall with some really great potential. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Another key guy on offense for the Badgers is [player_tooltip player_id='91985' first='Latonnieo' last='Hughes']. Hughes is a receiver for the badgers and plays on kickoff. Hughes is a guy that likes to use the term "speed kills" and for Hughes, his speed kills opponents. He has great tracking ability on high points and has good hands. On kickoff team, he uses his speed very well. He's normally the first to the ball and usually makes the tackle on special teams. All around he's a great player. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Badgers are one of the more dominate group of players that you can watch. All around they use their talents very well. They have fantastic coaching and a great team first mindset. Currently they look good mid way through the season and going into this weeks game against Waldron, I look to them to add another win on their record. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
