For example, there are players who have only played in 4 games this season, but are hanging in there on this list against those who have played 6. This in itself shows the joy of competition, and only proves why this list will be fun to track by the end of the season. Below, take a peek at some of out leaders in scoring going into week 7 of the season.
Nolan Hauser Nolan Hauser 6'1" | 180 lbs | K Hough | 2024 State NC – Hough
It should not be a shocker that Hauser has continued to reign on the NC Kick Scoring list, as his production in just 5 games have been more than impressive. In 5 games, he has totaled 40 points, with an average of 8 points a game. To add to this, 19 of these points came from PAT’s. What is most impressive about his success though is the fact that he has made 7 field goals this season, which are infinitely harder than a typical point after attempt. As this season continues to progress, look for him to continue to perform as one of the most well rounded kickers in the state.
Tripp Woody- Charlotte Christian Just like Hauser, Woody has also played in 5 games and has seen himself achieve plenty of success so far this season. After just 5 games, Woody has scored 36 point for his team, making him one of the most productive scorers on his team. Out of all of these points only 6 come from 2 field goals, and the rest, being 30 points, come from PAT’s. Look for him to continue to add on to these totals as the season goes by, which will put him in place to continue to find himself on this list by the time the season is over.
Angel Gomez-Corona Angel Gomez-Corona 5'7" | 150 lbs | K Millbrook | 2025 State NC – Millbrook
Just shy of Woody’s 36 points, Gomez-Corona has also had a high level of success, but has only totaled around 34 points for his team. These points largely come from the 31 extra points he has successfully hit, and 1 field goal he has made. With this, in just 5 games, he has shown that he can get the ball off the ground in good timing, and that he can kick with a good arc. Moving forward, we would like to see him have more field goal attempts, and to have more accuracy from the hashes.
Connor Benito- Parkwood
Unlike any other player on this list, Benito has played in 6 games this year, and has found himself with an average of 5.5 points a game, and a total of 33 points on the year. In addition to this, Benito has also successfully kicked 18 PAT’s, and 5 field goals. These 5 field goals are one of his bigger achievements this year, and has shown his ability to be a well rounded, accurate kicker for his team. As the season progresses, we would like to see him continue to develop as a player, and to be able to continually make kicks in a routine nature.
Bryson Jenkins- Northern Nash
In just 4 games this year, Jenkins has scored 31 points for his team, which is impressive since it has been in such a short span. In this time frame, he has averaged around 7.8 points a game, and has made 19 PAT’s, to just 4 field goals. Jenkins has proven that he has a strong leg, and that he has the accuracy to make clutch kicks, and put his team in a good position to be in games, and win games when his number is called. The fact that his team currently has a 5-0 record says this in itself.
