coming off the edge in victory over Chambers – Anthony Walker is 6’0 and 220 pounds and plays aggressive and downhill football from the linebacker position. He can cover in short spaces against backs and tight ends and has good explosion when rushing the passer coming off of the edge of the defense. He also tackles well in space and is physical to the echo of the whistle. A really good football player overall.

Chambers – DB Dontrae Henderson – Big INT to stop a Hough drive and kept good pass coverage throughout the game vs. Hough. Despite the loss, Dontrae has shown to be a very talented corner throughout the season. I think he has excellent ball skills, good discipline in both man and zone coverage, and is not afraid to come up and tackle in run support as a corner. As a 2024 player, he stands at 6’0 170 pounds and will have some recruiting interest for sure. He currently holds one offer from Old Dominion.

– 14 Tackles, TFL, 2 Sacks, and QB Hurry in victory over Christ School – Keyaan stands at 6’0 and 205 pounds at the linebacker spot, and I really love his athleticism at this spot. He is a 2023 prospect that holds an offer from Boston College and has had a lot of interest from area schools throughout his career. Playing for Providence Day, he will be in the spotlight of a lot of coaches and should definitely be an asset to a college program this time next season.

Porter Ridge – ATH Stephan Zayachowsky – 11 Tackles and 101 Rushing Yards in victory over Monroe – I list him as an athlete because he can do so many things well on the football field, however I think defense is his spot on the next level. Stephan is a 2023 prospect that is committed to Charleston Southern, and he’s a physical player who plays with great heart and is a leader on and off the field for the Pirates. He is fluid and athletic, and as a LB/SS prospect is a very good tackler in space and shows discipline consistently in all of his assignments – whether its coverage, blitzing, or just reading and reacting to the play as a linebacker. Great get for Charleston Southern.
