Logan Cundiff
Logan Cundiff
Last Thursday night against Arlington High School, Logan recorded 220 yards and 4 TDs through the air, accompanied by 104 yards and 1 TD on the ground. This further validates that Logan is in fact a top tier dual threat quarterback. He shows great awareness and decision making when deciding to pitch the ball or tuck in and run. Cundiff can also stand tall in the pocket and let the ball fly on a deep pass. I anticipate his recruitment to heat up towards the end of this season.
Last Friday against Buda Johnson, Boswell tallied up 10 solo tackle, 2 hurries, and 1 sack. Boswell is extremely quick off the ball and shoots the gaps with precision. You can see his relentlessness each play by his apparent effort. Quick reflexes and good make up speed when masking a pursuit tackle. Markus has been recently gaining some traction on the recruiting front and it is safe to say that it won’t slow down anytime soon.
Elijah Windham
Elijah Windham
Last weekend against a very talented Pleasant Grove squad, Windham racked up 13 tackles and 1 forced fumble, from the defensive back position. Elijah shows really good discipline and patience at this position, does very well by letting the play come to him and then reacting accordingly. He is very careful not to over react when looking to jump a route for an interception and sheds blocks unbelievably well. With Midland Christians schedule this year, Windham has been up against several highly ranked recruits, with no issues of holding his own.
Juan came out with a solid performance against Trinity Valley in week 3 by recording 7 solo tackles and 2 forced fumbles. This is a consistent stat line from Aguilar. His wingspan and speed allow him to cover ground quickly in the secondary. Since week one Aguilar has tallied up 19 tackles, 2 interceptions, 1 PBU, and 3 forced fumbles. Keep in mind, he is just in his sophomore year. I expect these type of stats to stay consistent throughout the season and then improving greatly in the next 2 years.
Highlights
Against Arlington Sam Houston, Trey went to work by compiling 14 solo tackles, 1 sack, with a total of 24 tackles on the night. His size and strength are really advantageous to the way he plays the game. Trey overpowers his opponents with ease every snap. Along with this, his high defensive IQ and awareness allow him to be a solid playmaker, whether coming off the edge or from the linebacker position. Over the summer Trey’s recruitment caught fire, don’t expect it to be extinguished anytime soon.
