Today, we’re taking a look at the offensive line room and which guys could see their stock rise this fall. These young men all have varying skill sets, but each prospect features a ton of potential. I think these guys are going to put together an impressive senior tape, and their offer list will grow following the season. With that being said, here’s who to watch for!
Caleb Nitta Caleb Nitta 6'2" | 255 lbs | OL Tuscarora | 2023 State VA , 6’2″ 270, Tuscarora
- Keeps his eyes up on zone double teams, coming off when need be to make blocks at the second level.
- Always looking for extra work as a pass protector.
- Plays with good leverage, exploding off the football with a low pad level.
Ayden Conley Ayden Conley 6'5" | 315 lbs | OL Christiansburg | 2023 State VA , 6’4″ 315, Christiansburg
- Pure size can be overwhelming for high school defenders.
- Shows solid body control when blocking at the second level.
- Moves fairly well for a man his size.
- Can get his second step in the ground in an instant.
Tyler Nix Tyler Nix 6'1" | 280 lbs | OL Brentsville | 2023 State VA , 6’2″ 285, Brentsville District
- A more than capable puller who looks to bury his opponent.
- Plays with good forward body lean and plenty of knee drive.
- Has a bit of an edge to him on the field.
Evan Stanley, 6’1″ 270, Loudoun County
- Hands stun defenders in their tracks.
- Is an extremely effective blocker out in space.
- Has a strong anchor that allows him to sit and provide little movement against bull rushes.
- Has shown an uncanny ability to easily block back on three techniques.
Maddox Radcliffe Maddox Radcliffe 6'1" | 275 lbs | OL Patrick Henry-Ashland | 2023 State VA , 6’1″ 275, Patrick Henry-Ashland
- Can create instant vertical displacement off the snap.
- Double teams stay hip to hip and give down linemen little to no chance to make a play.
- Is constantly blocking through the whistle.
- Can play all three spots on the offensive line.
Brayden DeMasi, 6’5″ 275, Blacksburg
- Has a really intriguing mixture of size and footwork.
- Knees are constantly churning on run blocks, leading to a bunch of knockdowns & pancakes.
- He shows a clean vertical set as a pass protector to go with tight hands.
Chase Rollins Chase Rollins 6'5" | 265 lbs | OL Orange County | 2023 State VA , 6’5″ 255, Orange County
- Is an effortless mover when working up to the second level.
- Is a bit raw but has a ton of tools that can be developed over time.
- His ability to redirect against countermoves is fantastic.
- He’s quite twitchy for a big man and will surprise defenders with his quickness.
