<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Grayslake North remains atop the Lake County Power Rankings as they improve to 2-0 after defeating Mundelein 17-14 in week 2.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Despite only putting up 17 points, Grayslake North's quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='248197' first='Jacob' last='Donohue'] was beyond impressive and proved to me that he's one of, if not the best quarterback in Lake County. He's a real threat to take it to the house when he breaks the pocket. He's a shifty runner who doesn't shy away from contact; he also showed he could handle a heavy workload carrying the ball. Mundelein was threatening to score and could have taken the lead on multiple possessions, but their inability to convert two fourth and shorts inside their 5-yard line is why they found themselves on the losing end of this contest. Siepka is a bruising, hard-nosed runner who appeared to get stronger as the game progressed. He also was a tackling machine and made his presence felt on defense.
