Continue ReadingLateef had the best game of his young career last week in a blowout win over Notre Dame of Sherman Oaks.
He was squaring off against another top sophomore quarterback and had a great night passing the ball.
Lateef completed 26 of 34 passes for 399 yards and four touchdowns in the 37-14 win.
It is very rare that a player from the losing team gets top billing on this list, but Potter is more than worthy.
He had a career-game in a loss to Los Alamitos. Potter completed 34 of 51 passes for 482 yards and five touchdowns in a 69-49 loss.
The 482 yards are a career-high for Potter.
Sayin is the top junior quarterback in the state, but he had yet to have a breakout game this season up until last week.
He had a huge game last week when his team needed him to against a very tough Mission Hills team.
Sayin completed 18 of 27 passes for 293 yards and a pair of touchdowns in the 16-10 win.
He is taking another visit to LSU this weekend.
Julian Silva
Julian Silva
Silva is racking up the passing yards for a solid Murrieta Mesa team this season.
The junior quarterback had a career-game last week against La Quinta.
Silva completed 30 of 36 passes for 468 yards and four touchdowns in a 52-28 win. The 468 yards shattered his previous career-high of 383 yards he had earlier this season against Vista Murrieta.
Wijay transferred from Chaminade to Pasadena and has made an immediate impact as expected.
He was instrumental in Pasadena’s 14-7 win over Colony last week. The 6-foot-5 senior threw for 267 yards and two touchdowns in the low-scoring game.
The 267 yards were the most for Wijay since arriving at Pasadena.
